Yeah, I love the game and the thing that has me going back through it over and over are the side quests for NPCs that lend so much lore to the story. Every runthrough, I usually choose a different focus for NPC quests, because it is so hard to try and do all of them at once. This runthrough, I'm going for the Goldmask ending, completing Brother Corhyn's quest along the way. Next time, I am going to try and be more sorcery focused and mess with perceptor sulivus' questline, getting the rotten ending. I am going to get to max difficulty, which is NG+8 (or your ninth runthrough) and at that point, try to 100% explore every nook and cranny, get every item, do every quest, all at once, all the time. I'm guessing it will be a runthrough that goes over 200 hours, but it'll be dope.

With how much content is jam packed within Elden Ring, i'm wondering if anybody would be willing to play a DLC expansion of this joint? If From Software does actually continue working on this game, then this could genuinely redefine how game developers do "live services".
@thatonepenguinperson6182 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't call that "Live Service" as we know it honestly. Live Service would be like we get a new dungeon every month, new weapons, new monsters, quests, constant updates, and a cash shop. Elden Ring is a great example of just a good game that stands on its own in 2022. Monster Hunter is a pretty good example as well for how much it updates and continues growing. I kind of feel like the term "Live Service" is the worst way to advertise your game with all the bad press and anti consumer marketing surrounding it. Though, a dlc would be nice and sell very well. I'm pretty sure FromSoft has something in mind already

I usually dislike open world games and couldn’t get into both horizon games so it takes a lot for one to actually hold my attention. What I like about Elden ring is that it doesn’t always hold your hand and the devs don’t care if you’re confused or don’t know what to do. They just let you explore. So many open world games have icons all over the map telling you where everything is and the entire map is designed with that in mind. In Elden ring it feels like the actual world is the natural guide to finding cool things instead of icons. Only complaints right now are that I wish you could only fast travel at sites of grace and I’m a little worried that some bosses are gonna be reused too much. Either way I dont think either will diminish my fun too much in the long run.

It's definitely the most chill Souls game I've played. I actually find myself putting on KZbin vids on my second screen while I'm playing, and that's something I would never've done in Dark Souls. I mean, it has tense moments, you get caught out sometimes, but in general it feels like you're relatively safe most of the time. And when you aren't safe, like when you fight a boss, well you know what's coming and you can get you're head into that zone. In the older games I felt like something was ready to pop out at me around every corner.

It’s not meant for everyone, and that’s totally fine, but I vowed to finish this one. There is no such thing as perfection, so it doesn’t have to be perfect to get a 10/10 from me. It has to give me maximum enjoyment consistently to get a 10/10. And this game delivers that in spades. PLUS no cash shop. No day 1 DLC where they try to sell you back something that shipped on the disk. Not trying to milk us for money for every dime they can. It’s to the point that I regret not getting the Collector’s Edition because I want FromSoft to have MORE of my money. Because they’re one of the VERY few studios that deserve every penny. If the pattern holds, they will release 2-3 actual DLCs for this game. I will buy them all without a second thought. It’s game of the year no question for me. I haven’t played anything that came out in the last 5 years that can top this experience. And I’m probably close to 80 hours in and haven’t even touched half the shard bearers yet. And every day I play it, I am even further impressed by just how much content we got for $60; if it cost double that, I still think it would be worth it. I love this game. I don’t have the words to describe how much.

This is my first souls type game I've really played barley got into it, grinding to level up my character at moment to get past a couple bosses I can't beat yet, almost beat the Cat with the sword close few more level ups I should be able to kill it.

Can we still continue to hear the legendary EeEEeelDen RIIAANNNgg call though? LOL. I still won't forget about the hype this game was getting before it was actually warranted.

It's a top tier game. Should win game of the year. In my Top 5 games of all time. Halo Combat Evolved, Ms Pacman, Super Mario Bros 3, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Elden Ring. A truly magnificent game

Nice choice of games man. I would throw Titanfall 2 in there when the servers weren't hacked, probably the best multiplayer game and Nier automata as well
@mkszaq1xsw22 жыл бұрын
@@tomalphonso excellent additions. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Nier Automata is a fantastic game. Titanfall 2 was similarly brilliant.

Brotha Jeremy no need no shame, we knew you would come around with your opinion and bow to this masterpiece, FromSoftware is since Sekiro the greatest game developer on the market, even better than Naughty Dog as of right now. Without this company, what would Xbox players be doing?

Yep im 43 grew up on Nintendo! Owned all Playstations! Have loved alot of games, never ever played any souls game, this is my first experience in this type of game. I love it! Love it to much never played a game this much, it's so fun and u are able to make it as harder or easy as u want. Im taking my time building up my character and exploring the world. Part of me doesn't want to beat the game till I've done every quest and torn apart every inch of this Beautiful open map/ world. Glad others love it as much as me. It's just bloody fun!! My review line would be bloody fun! Nice video

The game has a ton of bugs, issues, framerate problems, but received a standing ovation. I understand why devs are mad, they can make a game, but if it has these same problems, the game will be dragged through the mud.
@tsmith80822 жыл бұрын
True but Skyrim still one of the best and it has a shitload of bugs
@legsweep42682 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen any bugs after 30 hours. They could improve framerate and pop in though.
@zanzbeats84962 жыл бұрын
@@legsweep4268 Really? Others have seen bugs all in the game.
@tsmith80822 жыл бұрын
@@legsweep4268 just because you dont see bugs doesnt mean others are making it up. people are getting invisible enemies and the anti cheat program they implemented makes the game perform over 20% worse.

For some reason elden ring runs pretty smooth on my pc i've encountered very little hiccups in terms of performance...im loving this game theres always something to do and its really rewarding. Im 250 hours in, started ng+ and still finding out new things. Overwhelmingly fun
