I never played ultrakill because I didn't want to deal with the backseaters. I'm also not very good at reaction shooters. But I know people wanted to see it so I tried it. And I was pleasantly surprised it's a very good game. Sorry I also don't say much in this video I was 100% gamer mode. The chat also looks weird as I've made it respond in real time to the action on screen.

Mostly due to constant requests to play the game, annoying jokes and back seating. The entire community isn’t like it of course, but it does happen. the community has gotten pretty bad since... idk a couple years ago. When I started playing I didn't really interact with the community, but they seemed pretty okay. Since people have started to see the game as "the one where you need to snort a line before each level," they feel the need to prove to others how batshit the game is. It kinda loops back into being backseaty and annoying. I feel like after underthemayo, people started getting a little headstrong. People just don't want to see another Mayo I suppose.

Now, I could just not be looking in the right places, but I haven’t seen any toxicity yet. And I’m mostly on twitter, of all places, so 🤷🏻‍♀️ perhaps I’m just blind. Edit: also anything about the community not taking criticism is a bit valid, they do tend to lash out when someone so much as says the game isn’t perfect. That wasn’t the case before underthemayo made his videos on it and I think the reason is that nobody wants another mayo and a lot of people think the criticisms are going to be like mayo’s, which were largely unhelpful at best and completely misinterpreting the approach and execution of the game in the worst ways possible at worse, so they tend to not listen to any criticisms at all for risk of getting their brains fried by another mayo. watching JFJ first try some of the hardest bosses while being so casual about it is what makes me love this channel. dude has the best humour and comedic timing. i'd love to see JFJ play more of this game but i totally understand why he didn't the first time

Tbh you did hella well for your first time. Like, REALLY WELL because you got a chargeback which is pretty uncommon in early gameplay. But yeah, backseating is a huge problem with the community. Some of them aren't even aware of what they're doing, used to be that type before I took a chill pill and just let things happen. Sucks because the community is super creative at times, and at other times they just repeat the same shit over and over and over again ad nauseam.
