I was at a Home Free concert last night and they are as good live as their recordings. Pick any song in their catalog there are no bad ones.
@LadyDragonsblood2 жыл бұрын
And this song is a good example of this. Adam had this arrangement for a long time, but he couldn't perfect the percussion. Home Free will not perform any song live, unless they can make it sound exactly like the recording. Once Adam perfected this percussion, they released the video and now perform the song live at Christmas concerts. They are TRUE professionals.

Home Free are the best acapella group. Period. Tim Foust (back left) has a 5 octave range and Adam Rupp - the beatboxer who is world class, anchor their songs. Most of their videos are fun-comedic with a few serious songs which also show the gorgeous voices of Austin Brown, Rob Lunquist (beard) and the newest member Adam Chance. One of their more recent ones is ' Brothers in Arms.. which I love. Thanks for reacting to this gorgeous version!

You will never hear a better version of this song, and Home Free makes all of their covers better. They don't do covers, they do upgrades, and make the songs their own.

Do you hear what I hear is an old Christmas hymn. They have a beautiful modern arrangement that their beatboxer did. The group was founded in 2000 by the beatboxer, Adam Rupp, and his older brother Chris Rupp. Chris was singing baritone on this one. He left the group in 2015, I think, to pursue solo ventures. Home Free is 5 members. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer lives in MN still, which is where he was born and raised. Rob Lundquist, tenor (big brown beard and glasses) was also born and raised in MN, and still lives there. The high tenor, Austin Brown, has red hair and a red beard, and is the skinniest of them all. He was born in South Georgia, and now lives in Nashville, TN. Tim Foust, the bass singer, had a 5 octave range. He started this long, but also hit those heavy low notes in the arrangement. He was born in south Texas, gulf coast, and now lives in Nashville. Adam Chance, known as Chance (not in this video), joined the group when Chris Rupp left. He sings baritone and bass, as well as some higher stuff. He also has dark hair, glasses, and a beard, but much smaller beard than Rob. He was raised in Alabama, and now lives in LA. Welcome down the rabbit hole. There’s a whole lot of us down here enjoying the music. Always glad to welcome a new one!!

And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you a chair. You're about to be buried in Home Fries. First, you're going to want to show their videos in full. The men like reactors, and the more recent videos on their own label won't be a copyright problem. Besides, their videos are awesome and you're going to want to share the visuals with your subscribers or they'll miss out, especially on the humor. Your next listen should probably be Man Of Constant Sorrow. It will give you a good overview of the men and their voices. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks. God bless ‘em. All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a two-time world champion and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up, and his drum solos. For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome. A basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. For Rob's smooth soul, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) For Austin's soaring tenor, check out Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.) For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. For their amazing arrangement skills, you heard a great example on the Christmas carol, Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. For more of their wonderful collaborations, check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you'll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim's mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.” You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.

For me, Home Free is the number one (A-Capella) group. This is one of the most beautiful arrangements. Adam Rupp did the arrangement. He is the founder of Home Free together with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to pursue a solo career and other projects. Adam Chance, hereinafter referred to as Chance, replaced him. This video is so beautiful. All sung great again with all their different voices but still one. The deep Bass of Tim and of course the glue of the group, Adam with his inhumanly incredible beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds. The place they have chosen is just magical. But anything Home Free is great. It doesn't matter if it's a cover or an original, Country or any other genre, slow or fast, high or low, serious or funny. For each song they choose which voice(s) fits best. Their personality is so beautiful. No egos, no rivalry, respect for each other, a real brotherhood and so much fun they have together.

Nice reaction, SBG. Subscribed. Amazing arrangement of this classic carol by Adam Rupp, their beatboxer. You couldn't pick a more interesting rabbit hole to go down, or one with more talent. HF lean country but sing all genres, everything from goofy to heartfelt. Most reactors begin with Man of Constant Sorrow (bluegrass), a big favorite. Or try: Boys II Men's End of the Road, Percy Sledge's When a Man Loves a Woman, John Denver's Take Me Home Country Roads, Dreamer (original), Love Me Like That (original), the mashup Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get it On. You definitely won't want to miss their Butts Remix. So many. They have a huge catalog. Members are beatboxer Adam Rupp (founder), bass Tim Foust (5 octaves; the rest of the guys have at least 4, I believe), high tenor Austin Brown, lead tenor Rob Lundquist, and baritone Adam Chance (called Chance).

Thank you for reacting to this song. The guys are amazing. A little extra info on them. The guy singing front left on the first part of the song is..Chris Rupp... founder of the group...wears a cowboy hat or a cap, you will see him up to 2016... left to go solo.. doing well. Adam Rupp... beatboxer/precussionest amazing...co- founder with Chris... both from Minnesota... on left back...Tim Foust..amazing Bass and then some..from Southeast Texas (cut his hair and let the gray show during pandemic)...Rob Londquist...The Beard...tenor...also Minnesota...Austin Brown..long hair...High Tenor... from Georgia. You will see Adam Chance (Chance)....baritone/bass..Bass... took Chris' place. Sorry for the long story.

Welcome to the Home Free rabithole, were there are allways a extra room for another fan. Whatever song you choose to listen to, it would never fail to impress you, with both vocals, harmonies, percussion, arrangement and visual. They often do covers ,but has a way to improve and upgrade/ modernise the songs, but still stay true to the originals. They also has a ton of original songs, both Tim Foust and Austin Brown are skilled songwriters. I recomend that you listen to some of their older songs, and then move up to more reson songs, just to get a gist of their voices and range. "Butts remix", "Country fried pop medley", "Crazy life", "Frend in low places", "Honey I'm good" (especially the live video "Beatbox breakdown") and "Movin on" (Chris Rupp wrote that song, and was his farewell song to the band and fans). Of more reson songs, try "Blue ain't your color", "Crazy" (Austin sings in same key as Patsy Cline), "Cant outrun you". Under the pandemic, the served a new song every 14 days, and it was fantastic for the fans, and resently the released the pandemic album, with a lot of our favorit pandemic songs. Home Free are the one and only country vocal a capella group, and it's difficult to compare to other a capella groups. They are not just country, but covers plenty of music genres, like bluegrass, pop, soul, R&B, rock and christian/ christmas hymns, and they mke every songs sound fantastic. Enjoy the journey down the rabithole.

A wonderful cover of Fire Straits Helplessly Hoping, and a super great cover of Boyz2Men End of the Road. That's a few to get started. Enjoy the ride and the Home Fries will be right there with you!

The song itself is 70 years old and alludes to the Nativity Story. This video was done around Christmastime 2015 or 2014 and is done with their usual perfection. Home Free, Pentatonix, and VoicePlay are the three major a cappella groups and are good friends with one another. Avi Kaplan, PTX's bass singer appeared in HF's Ring of Fire video and Home Free and VoicePlay did a video together Zombies vs Hillbillies Survivor.
