@@bredloaf. just did it, it’s a pain, but easy enough once u get the steering rack out, don’t use a installer tool from o Riley’s or auto zone, u have to buy a tool off Amazon. I used the o trolleys tool and got the installer tool stuck inside the crankshaft

I would probably say sell it and buy a manual, there are good cars out there for not crazy prices. If you don’t mind can I ask whatca paid?

I agree that’s what I think I’ve landed on doing, I’m in no rush to sell mine but I’ll probably list it for about 10k, I bought it and fixed it up for more than that to answer your question, but I’m not super inclined into give out the exact price you feel?

@ ye I get it, I paid 9.5 for a fully built one with not great paint. If your looking for a manual do know an auto to manual swaps about 4k.
@CovenantGarage7 күн бұрын
@ yeah it is cheaper and more sensible to just sell it and buy one, imma enjoy the heck out of mine while I have it tho
@Keilun37 күн бұрын
@@CovenantGarage well if your engine is healthy and it’s not crazy miles doing a built manual swap wouldn’t be dumb, c5s have torque tube issues that mean you gotta drop the whole bottom of the car if clutch needs to be swapped. So it’s not that much more work to swap it then if you buy one and have to do that off the bat.

With time and money, everything can be fixed. Why you can't repair EBCM module? If it is electronics I would turn to someone who is doing pc repairs. Broken PCB is broken PCB nothing nightmarish about it.
@CovenantGarage7 күн бұрын
@@BOTmaster15 i wish, but this problem has been around for 25 years and thousands have tried but no one has successfully repaired one. People can easily repair the ones from 2001-2004 and I don’t know what the difference in computers allows for that
@BOTmaster157 күн бұрын
@@CovenantGarage ok but WHY it cant be fixed. Is it microcontroler being fried, or blown capacitor? Newer ebcm is just solder cracking and losing connection. For module pushing 25yrs it is not uncommon.
