Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but dexter killing animals as a child happened because most serial killers are known to start off with animals when they’re young, it’s one of the first signs of a person being/becoming a serial killer.

I think it is mentioned that Dexter 's file is deleted from the system, so no one would be able to connect that they are brothers. The department only knows that he is adopted from a crime scene.

if you think about it 2 killers spawned in that crate the murder took place one boy was infatuated with the serial killer taking his mothers life (rudy) and set out to take out other woman just like her, the other was vengeful of the serial killer taking his mothers life and set out to murder people just like him, they're the same just saw the same gory scene from two different perspectives.

Your analysis sounds nice and poetic, but Dexter's motivation for killing other serial killers wasn't because he felt "vengeful of the serial killer taking his mother's life." He didn't even remember the event until his brother started triggering his repressed memories. Dexter killing other serial killers is purely due to the code Harry instilled in him. Without it Dexter would be like Brian.

Harry didnt just come up to dexter and say "now you're a serial killer congratulations", and there's no such thing as a fully repressed memories, just because you dont exactly remember something doesnt mean it didnt shape you. Yes you may be right he might have inevitably ended up like Brian but you dont know if he wouldn't specifically target woman men or anything, there's no way you could know what his victim criteria "would have" been

The show does such a great job of giving Dexter these layers that allow you to cheer for him despite him being a killer. 1 - He's got the fucked up past, so you can understand and sympathize with that, at least 2 - Great relationship with his dad and with Deb (and Deb is so likeable too) 3 - He kills only bad people 4 - His relationship with Rita, how he's actually patient and gentle towards her... it's kind of serving his own needs, because HE isn't ready for a physical relationship either, but the end result is still the same: he's actually a way better boyfriend than the vast majority of tv show male leads (the way tv handles tropes so often, the misunderstandings that would be easily solved with a minute-long conversation BUT NEVER IS, or the casual misogyny in "nice guys" like Ross or Ted Moseby or the guys of The Big Bang Theory... endless examples) 5 - and of course, his relationship with Rita's kids

Also wanted to mention that i love your eyebrows their natural and not drawn on and i love the way you have that cute giggle. I think its adorable. I also like the way you analyize and break everything down. I had a older half sister and she passed away. She started to bond with me a couple years ago and passed away so i have a older and younger brothers so i never had that femine energy around me all the time. Thats what helps men understand women when you have a sister that your closed too. So i miss that postive femine energy! So have a beautiful day little sister!❤😊

This comment will contain major spoilers for the original Dexter novel. If you intend to read it, just tell me to delete the comment and i will. But there were a few major differences between the ending of this season and the novel. At the end of the book, Deb is fully conscious during Dexter's confrontation with Brian and learns the truth about him, and in fact Dexter considers killing her for a second. What stops him is LaGuerta showing up and considering shooting all 3 of them right there (LaGuerta was a far worse person in the book). Brian then kills LaGuerta, Dexter frees Deb, and Brian goes free.

Eating meat isn't like chocolate or cigarettes you're not addicted. It's more habitual. I would recommend doing a day or two a week until you get ued to it. I was a very unhealthy vegetarian. You have to be committed to doing it properly or don't do it.

I love season 1 because it's such a great introduction to the character of Dexter, culminating in how the season long Baddie is the mirror image of Dexter: he's what Dexter could've easily become without Harry, and Harry's Code... and Debra. I think you're being overly harsh on Harry. He did the best job he could with Dexter, a seriously broken and traumatized child... but yeah, we can definitely have a discussion about Harry's missteps as we get 3, 4, 5 seasons into the show. (I think 2 is better - I believe, based on what I've read, that you've already seen it, but I'll still avoid spoilers and simply say: the main subject of season 2 is SO FUCKING BALLSY... so many shows would've put it off until season 6 or 7 or 8; Dexter didn't play around, they just did it. And season 5, the final season, is definitely my favorite. Some people love season 4 the most, and they somehow think the show isn't worth watching after 4; that's WILD to me, even if you like better than 5, 5 is still brilliant on several levels.)

I would wait until your kids are at least mid teens before turning off meat in their diet. Like age 14 at least... after that they can choose their own food options/preferences. But zero meat from 5-15 range, --- I think --- might leave them dis-advantaged in life... if that makes sense? Of course you can choose the best options of meat... like not cheapest, good stuff.

You don't have to learn to cook vegetarian meals. There are plenty of vegetarian meats on the market. Morningstar, Gardein and many others offer many kind of vegetarian meats. Hamburger, chicken, hot dogs, sausage, bacon and others are included. Plus, now they have plant based meats. Impossible and Beyond are the two big brands. And there are many other companies offering veggie meats. Someone is eating them. The choice keeps getting bigger. All the grocery stores carry them. I have been eating them for decades. Been a vegetarian for over 40 years. I feel great and look 10 years younger than my age. And it's okay to give them to your children. Meat is incredibly unhealthy and the quicker you and your kids can give up eating it, the better off you will be. And they will thank you.

I don't blame Harry at all. He had an entire family to keep safe from Dexter,, and Dexter to keep in check.. Not one of us, with children that don't even have these problems are 100... I not only think Harry is a hero... I think he is owed some level of respect for everything he did that he didn't have to.

I like to say i love your reaction and i seen your son come in the room but thats to be expected you are a mother. I think its heartbreaking what you was exposed to as a child. But you have to understand maybe thats what your parents was exposed to. Thats what makes us who we are and what we are drawn to because its familar and normal to us. I was lucky that i was never exposed to that from my parents or grandparents but what you was exposed to is normal. I have two grown kids and my problem in my relationships in my relationship was i was trying to sleep with lots of women when i was younger. You have to understand women mature faster than men. I didnt start maturing until i was 40 years old. The men in my family were all in the military but were never physically abusive or verbally abusive but my father and his brothers were chasing women even when they got married so i mirrored their behaviour even when i was married so since my divorce ive been looking for a soulmate. Not just someone im physically attracted to but mentally attracted. Men are visual so we normal go to what looks good to us as opposed to what mentally attracted to us. I enjoy being around femine women. So you crying is showing that you have a good heart and a nurturer like a women is suppose to be. Since God intenteded for women to be mothers that was suppose to be in them. Men are suppose to be protectors and providers. Thats whats natural to us. I love kids and i believe i am a great father just i was a terrible husband. So when i meet my queen im going to be a great husband and father this time! So continue to be you because God made you unquie and you have a vibrant personality so thats why i like your channel and you look like a great mother and plus you are pleasing to the eyes so that helps to. Someone will disagree with what I am about to say but I don't particularly care; dexter kind of was the good guy( in the beginning) and the writers should have kept him that way concerning how he stuck to his father's code of going after bad people only; he could have ignored that and went after anyone he wanted at any time, he could have given in to the temptation of killing the security guard his brother had laid before him at the abandoned hospital or his sister at their childhood home but he chose to follow his father's rules despite his own issues with him because deep down he really didn't want to hurt innocent people and season after season was showing him striving to be a better person and was achieving that slowly especially with lumen in season 5 and brother sam in season 6, Hannah in season 7 Was the worst character ever thought of for her corruptive influence is what brought down Dexter's Integrity and ruined him from being the lovable and honorable character we all know from the books and earlier seasons, the show's 2 endings was I feel very disappointing because they wrote it and his character all wrong for he wouldn't have given in to his grief over the loss of his sister to where he would abandon his own son, sure he would be at his lowest for a minute but he would pull himself together and remember the promise he made to deb of how he would always be there for harrison no matter what and you can't sit there and convince me that a small town sheriff like his girlfriend angela would be able to bust a notorious killer like Dexter based on circumstantial evidence not to mention the tranquilizer formula is not the same; he never used kenimine on his targets he used M99, The writers should have continued adapting his story from the novels for they had tons of potential of doing and successfully pulling off a reverse breaking bad and the blacklist with the character, turning him into his very own sophisticated concierge of crime fighting with a vast network of resources at his disposal to help him hunt those that escape justice while keeping him 2 steps ahead of the people he works for in law enforcement who feels and views himself as the "the bad guy" that doesn't believe he can change but doesn't want to disappoint his father, his best friend angel, his wife, kids and sister by giving up trying with case after case and ultimate showdowns with the main antagonist of the season pushing him further and further down the path of being a honorable, righteous and semi-heroic individual with new blood being his swan song where he sacrifices himself to save his son, his son's girlfriend along with his own girlfriend from Kurt Caldwell, his son and the billionaire character they had in there that was serving as a red herring, have it where he had a connection to kurt and was involved somehow in covering up his secret of being the runaway killer and Dexter dying ending their threat once and for all thus earning his redemption which brings his story arc full circle with him ultimately breaking good, As for doakes the most annoying thing about him was his hypocritical attitude towards dexter when he tried to get him in trouble for just doing his job as a blood spatter specialist after he in an act of revenge shot dead a former death squad operative who was unarmed and tried to cover it up with lies which put his partner angel batista in a very uncomfortable situation of possibly turning him in to be arrested by IA until he was given a pass by the government, It should have been written and adapted according to the way it worked out in the books where they worked together to take down a cartel leader and doakes was severely maimed by the main antagonist dr danco to where he lost his legs and arms and tongue as a consequence for killing in cold blood that death squad operative who just so happened to be related to the villain, dexter tries to save him despite him knowing his secret but fails, he goes into a comma and dies later on in the 3rd season but Is revered as a hero cop and posthumously awarded a medal for risking his life to bring down dr danko who gets framed by Dexter as the Bay Harbor butcher, the same scenario can be applied but altered to the character Maria Laguerta, have the consequences of her actions in season 2 befall her in season 7 by having esme come back for revenge on laguerta for ruining her career by using her secret connections to the criminal underworld to frame her and make her look as if she's losing her mind like what laguerta did to her by sleeping with her boyfriend and have it where Debra is the one that tries to save her but fails with season 8 being the final season that deals with the fallout of that event and Dexter being the loving caring brother that he's been towards her trying to help her overcome the grief of laguerta's death all while dealing with the reign of terror from the brain surgeon, I say all of that to say that joe from the show YOU doesn't hold a candle to dexter and that dexter would have that despicable man for breakfast, lunch and dinner to feed the very jackels he came from! 🔥😁😉👍
