Fun facts: Miles has a special framerate trough the movie. Until he accepts his powers, he runs at 12 FPS, and after that, he goes double like all the other Spider-People. Peni's mouth is only synched with what she says in the japanese dub. When the collider "explodes", you can see the other Spider-People be launched trough the city. 14:26 so this line with Stan Lee is the last piece of acting that he did for a Marvel film before he passed, and the line "I'm really gonna miss him..." devastated EVERYONE in the movie theater that went to the premiere in my town. My little sister was trying to comfort me while I was just silently crying about how much I was gonna miss Stan Lee after remembering he was gone. It was kind of bittersweet knowing the last time we'd hear his voice in a film was for something he was so proud and excited for, and it was with his favorite character that he created.

To answer your question about the webs, it depends on the Spiderman. Some of the Spiderpeople from certain universes can organically create their webs in their bodies and technically can't run out of webs unless they experience some sort of blockage. Other Spiderman create webslinger devices and chemically conjure their own webs in a lab. This was also directly talked about in No Way Home.

10:24 I always appreciate the details that make these animated characters look so hand-drawn; they're computer models, but they have little imperfections, like the outlines of Miles' irises. They're not perfectly circular and they don't even close all the way/they're not a closed outline. They don't use blurring to make distant figures and people look out of focus, so instead they use chromatic aberration. Meaning that the further away something is, you can see red and blue overlapping versions of the figure superimposed on it. Everything looks so hand-rendered, and lived-in. It's imperfectly perfect! Also a cool detail is that Miles is animated at a choppier frame rate than the other Spider-People when he's learning to control his powers, and once he masters them, he's animated on the smoother rate that every other Spidey is on.

Absolutely! Before the trailers, I was a little worried about the sequel not being able to live up to the original. I thought they might not be able to one-up themselves with the art style, or they'd lean so much into the superhero genre and animation that the heart of the story would fall behind. But the trailers 100% assuaged my fears of any of that being the case; they look *stunning* and I will be in a theater seat for it opening weekend no matter what happens.

42 is a Jackie Robinson reference. Basically, it means greatness with regards to Miles. “I know her parents are mad.” Probably not. She is in a punk rock band. Her parents are probably used to her shaving weird parts of her head. In her superhero persona, she is hunted by the chief of police: her dad. This movie influenced a lot of animated movies that came after. This is the right way to blend 2D and 3D. The Toby McGuire version of Spider-Man had organic web shooters. All the other ones created devices to shoot the webs. They generally carry extra cartridges of web fluid in their belt, but sometimes they do run out. Spider-Ham is not a WB character. He is from a cartoon dimension where all the heroes are animals. Thor is a frog, and I think Captain America is a cat. The Spider-Man at the end is the most popular alternate version of Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099. When the trailers came out, a lot of people were mad that he wasn't in it, so when he showed up in that end-credits scene, people cheered. He is also half-Hispanic.

I really like how you yourself is animated in the thumbnail! Anyway, Into the Spider-Verse is not just one of the best superhero movies, but perhaps one of the greatest animated films ever! Everything about this movie works. Seeing Miles learning about his powers and seeing him train with the other dimension Spideys gives these characters so much development. The animation is utterly phenomenal since the comic book style fast paced animation really makes these action scenes look impressive. In fact, the style left an impact on animation to where even other animated films recently have hopped along the trend like The Bad Guys, Puss in Boots 2, and now Disney’s Wish! Even the humor works very well. Almost every joke made me laugh. I’m hyped for Across the Spider-Verse a month from now!

The Super Collider uses DNA to find specific people throughout all of space and time. King Pin is trying to use it to get his family back. So when the Blonde Peter Parker was fighting in the beginning and Green Goblin shoved his head into the Collider, it took Spider-Man's DNA and found other Spider-Men and Spider-Women that matched that DNA. That's why they were brought to Miles' universe. And since it messes with time, it sent Gwen back to an entire week before the Collider even started up the first time.

I remember how many "fans" were preemptively upset because there's only one Spider-man. Apart from all the things it gets right I love that it starts with saying there's one Spider-man by then throughout demonstrates that's not true. Even just within the comics everytime a new writer and artist takeover it's a new take on the same character. Sure real fans can have their favorite or favorite run but that doesn't keep us from appreciating all the other great takes on the icon. To make a truly epic adaptation you need to be able to have that same appreciation of all the ways you can tell the Spider-man story and yeah they got it. They embraced the comics for the art, for the characters but still were confident enough to make really cool changes. I'd only disagree to say it's one of the best comic book adaptations ever. For pure comic love on the big screen I don't think anything else comes close.

Based on the story the only spider-man that actually produces the webs from their own body is Tobey Maguire, in the first of the spiderman movies, subsequently, andrew garfield and tom holland peter parker have a formula that they use to make canisters of web fluid to attach to their shooting contraption. This means that this peter parker also has to do this, however, it seems things might be different for miles.

Billy I had such a fun time watching your reaction and enjoy to this movie. I'm an old-school Spider-Man fan and it really warms my heart to see someone who's not as familiar with all the various Spidey incarnations still getting so involved and appreciating it. Pretty much most of your other questions I think have already been addressed in the comments. The Looney Tunes version (Peter Porker: The Amazing Spider-Ham) was an actual Marvel comic book (I was so tickled that they included him in the movie). You asked about ages -- I'll admit to being on the wrong side of fifty (I told you I was old-school!). If you don't know the backstory of how the Miles Morales Spider-Man came into being, it's worth looking up. I think it demonstrates both the best, and sadly the ugliest, sides of people. The best prevailed and gave us what's become another classic Spider-Man. And years later, it's given us what I think is THE best Spider-Man movie. I'll have to watch some of your other reactions now. Keep up the good work!

I like the Toby Maguire spiderman because of the fact that he actually shoots webs from his wrists- I just find the whole change/mutation of his anatomy because of the bite, way more fascinating than having to depend on web shooters. He's Spider-Man, he should be able to shoot webs from his body and not have to make them in a lab but oh well- limited webs can also be interesting
@Dead25m
@Dead25m Жыл бұрын
@@remixtbh It also begs the question, would Toby have to rest eventually? Because you can't just be producing stuff infinitely without a drawback. @~Lynx~ @~Lynx~ yeah I guess making webs in a lab is a way to show how intelligent Peter Parker is. However, there are other ways he shows that intelligence even if it's not through web making. Because then it feels a little like Tony Stark where he shows off his intelligence (1st movie wise) by making a suit out of unconventional materials kind of like Peter with his webs. I just find it underwhelming that his mutation isn't explored more besides things like his spider sense, super strength, regenerating, and sticking to different surfaces. I feel like it would have been interesting to keep the organic web making but have them be a back up to his web shooters or vice versa. Because he has drawbacks with both types of webs, organic or not, he doesn't have an infinite supply either way.

What’s still peculiar to me is that they implemented comic books in a comic book film. It’s kinda ironic because that’s not something usually done with superhero comic book films which have become the norm. The entire film itself is one massive comic book. From the speech bubbles to the text boxes to the panels to the splash art, it’s almost as if us the audience are flipping through the pages as we’re watching the film. A handful of voice actors would go on to portray live-action characters in Marvel Studios Phase 4. (Aaron Davis was portrayed by Donald Glover/Childish Gambino in Spider-Man: Homecoming) There are two sequels on the way. One coming this year is Across the Spider-Verse. Next year we’re getting Beyond the Spider-Verse. Oscar Isaac voiced Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in the post credit scene, and he’s gonna have a prominent role in Across the Spider-Verse. That’s also where we’ll meet Jessica Drew voiced by Issa Rae. There’s a Spider-Woman spinoff in the works with Gwen and Jessica expected to appear. They also plan to bring in Cindy Moon/Silk. this is still, to this day, my favorite Spider-man movie. the whole thing about the web shooters is that in the comics, he was always running out of webs at the worst times but he always carried spares with him. the Tobey Maguire movies made the webs organic for some reason and it caused a whole uproar in the fandom lol also, the movie takes place in the course of a few days, not months, even tho a lot does happen. LOVED this reaction, especially the double spelling bee 😂 ❤

According to original spiderman lore, spiderman got bit by a radioactive spider. They have their own web fluid coursing through their bodies, however, they use web shooters to help direct their webs and shoot them out at faster speeds. The webs are coming out of their wrists like an actual spider. That's why they have unlimited webs.

Spider-Man 2099 is my favorite Spider-Man. Prowler is so dope. Also John Mulaney as Spider-Ham= W casting. Aunt May is clearly one of Doc Ocks friends since she said her friends call her Liv and Aunt May called her Liv. MJ and that version of Doc Ock can get it. The most messed up part about Kingpin's alternate dimensional family seeing him do that is the fact that that dimensions Wilson Fisk could've been actually a good person for once.

Loved the reaction as always, definitely the best Spider-Man movie! 💕 By the way the reason all the spidermen were brought to Miles universe is because at the start when the original Peter is fighting Mile’s uncle before Peter is killed, he puts him in the funky looking machine that Kingpin his using to try and get his family back from another universe. So when Spider-Man is in the machine, instead of bringing Kingpin’s family it brought all of the spidermen! Hopefully that helps! 😁

Fun fact about Spider-Man's web swinging; due to his Spider Sense, he can thwip without needing to LOOK where to thwip. That's why whenever you see those sequences of Spider-Man swinging around New York, more often than not he ISN'T looking to where he NEEDS to thwip; he's observing the city below.

I'm only 19 and I remember having those popsicles. They get an s-tier from me just for nostalgia alone. Haven't encountered an ice-cream truck since I was like 13 or something tho, kind of a bummer that I never see them around where I live anymore. I did see one in a neighborhood close to Oceanside when I was 17, but I haven't seen one in mine in over five years...

1) there's something about watching people watch this movie for the first tie that fills me with joy. It's a fantastic movie. 2) this might just be my bias towards it, but I feel like you'd enjoy the 2008 movie *Speed Racer*... the cast is STACKED and it's just sooooo underrated and underappreaciated. I could write a whole essay about it. #Bingers

What really confused me is that when the Peter in Miles universe died the police weren't going after his wife and asking her all sorts of questions. Not like as a murder suspect, but as someone who knows all of Spider-man's secrets sort of thing. The reason why I had this thought is because in the tv shows and movies Peters boss at the Daily Beugle (don't know if I spelled that right) wanted to expose him. I get that Miles was the main character in this one, but I still think it should have been in it. And for the scene where everyone of those pedestrians are walking around Miles and the other Peter Parker after they got knocked out. In the famous words of Rise of the TMNT Donatello I say to you. "New York, what a town. And to answer your question Billy, the webs either come from them specifically like a actual spider or they make it in their lab. Also, can you please watch Lion King 2 Simba's Pride? It has a great villain song that I think you'd enjoy.

@@deadplthebadass21 No, not like asking MJ if she killed her husband. I mean, after Spider-Man's identity was revealed as Peter Parker why didn't the police interrogate his wife and ask her how spider man came to be or what other things that Peter did as Spider-Man that they don't know about. That sort of thing. I can see how you got confused by my comment. I'll go back and make my statement more clear.

34:20 So there are different spiderman comics with different versions of the web. The original vanilla spiderman, has webs naturally coming from his wrists, you can see this in spiderman from the 2000's. They also ALWAYS show how spiderman sticks to walls with the hairs on his skin, and has to sling from building to building, usually failing at first. But the spiderman actors after that followed other spiderman comics, where he was not just a student, but a brilliant scientist, so he invented his own web slinger, and could change it to be electrically or magnetically charged for example. Just gave them more to play with... i'm all for the natural spider version myself

The looney toons spiderman is Spider-Ham, or Peter Porker. His universe is where everyone is an animal pun (Captain Americat, Squawkeye, Iron Mouse, Ant Ant, etc). He was a spider who was bitten by a radioactive pig, the radioactive pig being his Aunt May who was a scientist inventing a hairdryer that backfired and in a fit of delusion she bit her spider buddy.

Spider-Man in the comics always had web shooters he built. He makes the formula for the webbing himself and it normally dissolves after an hour. He can change the formula to dissolve faster or slower, make it fire retardant or make it not electric conducting, stronger, ect. Part of why I love him in the comics is that he's a genius without the unlimited funding that heroes like Iron Man and Batman have, the main reason he sells photos to the Bugle that is constantly blaming him for things is to afford the chemical ingrediants he needs for his web fluid. The Raimi movies (Tobey Maguire) gave him organic webbing instead, and they changed him to match in the comics for a while, which I hated. lol Glad they changed him back eventually.
