@@sanneannelies843 -The male nanny episode -Chandler's homophobia and jokes about his transgender parent were awful. While they did address it later on by reuniting them, the character was played by Kathleen Turner! The show also conflated transgender people and drag queens. In trying to expose and dismantle some prejudices, they also perpetuated others. -There's a Thanksgiving episode where Ross and Joey are trying to leave so they can go and meet Joey's good looking roommate and her dancing friends. During the whole episode they're trying to think up ways to trick these women into sleeping with them, and Joey literally calls them "objects." -Generally speaking, the ease with which homophobic jokes are pumped out on that show - generally around the male characters' masculinity being up for debate and thus suggesting they're gay - definitely has not aged well. -All of the time that “lesbians!” was used as a punchline or a cue for the laugh track to start. -Ross pretending to be a masseur because he finds the "client" attractive. -Ross being annoyed at Ben playing with "girly" toys. -When Monica's parents (especially her mom) constantly berated and shamed her about her job, looks, and especially her weight. -When everyone made gay and sexist jokes because of Joey's bag. -When Rachel hurt her rib and needed Ross's help getting dressed, and he made super-creepy comments about picturing her naked whenever he wanted to. And many more.

Great video! I always found the amount of grief Joey gave Chandler for kissing Kathy absurd. When that kiss happened, Joey was literally messing around with another girl. Joey does not have some great moral high ground in this situation. Joey was way late for his date with Kathy because he was on a date with someone else, and he put Chandler in the middle trying to cover for him. Also, early on when Joey first started dating her, Chandler literally told him he was into Kathy, but Joey chose not to believe him. So, I always felt Joey was the jerk in this situation, not Chandler.

I've only watched the first season, can't continue due to hatred. Half the cast are downright unlikable, but then the other half enabled/joined in some of their antics. Like mistreating Janice(she should be the one kicking Chandler's head) & making fun of ugly neighbor guy(or something like that). P. S. I just had the chinese equivalent of Thanksgiving & Christmas, Chinese New Year, never a fun time after adulthood.

Yeah as a Dutch girl myself this episode is pretty offensive. Heidi is a German name and she speaks with what sounds like some kind of eastern European accent. Nothing about this girl looks or sounds Dutch to me. They do get some actual Dutch words in other seasons of Friends, but never somebody that actually sounds like they could be Dutch. They all have very thick American accents. Honestly...the Dutch are everywhere, it is not hard to find them in the USA...
