The fact that THEY invited YOU but wouldn't even tell you what they were gonna do, just emphasizing that it's $7k so one would think it must be worth it if it's that expensive... yeah, they seem a bit shady. You did good to walk out! There are way better places that probably do similar stuff AND properly inform their customers. that being said, i also would have taken the chance, just to at least have a fun trip out of it like you guys did lol

It sucks that they made you feel so uncomfortable, but on the other hand, you got to wear matching outfits with your friend, it's not every day you get that chance! (But let's say they didn't make you feel umcomfortable, wouldn't it have been a red flag that they wanted to control what you say and force you to post a positive review, regardless? I wouldn't trust my skin to someone showing so little confidence in their business).

I always really appreciate how Vina shares insights like this into what influencer work is sometimes like. I feel like it’s so valuable for younger creators - or any creator just starting out online - to see examples of influencers thinking critically about sponsorships and setting clear boundaries about what they are and aren’t comfortable with, what kind of treatment is “normal” or acceptable from sponsors, when to walk away from a deal, etc.

Almost every time I’ve been to a skin clinic in Korea (3 times) I’ve had a bad experience with customer service. Maybe because I’m going to ones in busy areas and ones that speak English so they’re always busybut every time I felt like herded cattle. They were always running late and the nurses made me feel like I had to rush. Once I had to skip the consultation step and numbing cream and just go straight into a procedure that I’d never had before. Once they applied numbing cream and forgot about me until an hour later when I asked them about it. The nurse didn’t even apologise when she saw me removing it myself which really hurt. Thankfully, the skin treatments worked really well and the doctors who administered them seemed much kinder and more professional than the nurses but getting pushed around like that really made me question the safety of those clinics. If something went wrong I don’t think they’d care and probably would try to say it was my fault.

What pisses me off is that the company invited you but the employees are being so rude to you even when their boss is the one that invited you. Arent they supposed to treat you with the UP MOST RESPECT if you got invited? You got invited as an influencer, and im sure that the person thats in charge who invited you had good and pure intentions, but they really didnt train their employees on how to treat and respect customers, especially guests that were invited. Its 1 thing to be uncomfortable being recorded like thats understandable, however being rude to a guest isnt excusable. The company should have informed their own employees that an influencer was gonna come so take care of her, because they clearly didnt do any of that. When companies hires influencers or sponsors them to do such and such, you would probably expect the best customer service and hospitality, but they offered NOTHING (other than their rudeness).
