In case you were wondering, yes, Infi-nuts are basically a cheat code for don't lose x amount of plants levels since if a zombie eats it, it doesn't count as losing a plant since it just regenerates and comes back after a bit. Its Plant Food is also tremendously useful for a lot of these levels. P.S. You should definitely use Primal Peashooter more often, he absolutely carries for a lot of levels and you can also use Torchwoods to make his shots stronger.

I think the thing where the Puff-Shroom just wouldn't attack the King is actually a Thyme Warp related glitch I had with Fisherman Zombie once, which I'm going to assume just happens with stationary Zombies reacting strangely to Thyme Warp where they sometimes just end up not being attackable as all plants will just ignore them, but since they're stationary they'll die at the end anyways. Got me confused why on earth this Tangle Kelp just sat right on top of the Fisherman and did nothing

I feel like the extended levels of the dark ages really want you to use the plants that the world gives and plants people for some reason never usually pick. Sunbean solved my early game sun problems, magnetshroom deals with the knights and Fumeshroom for everything else. The levels arent as hard as people make them out to be people are just reluctant to try other plants. The main hard thing about dark ages is the jesters and the knight zombies thats it.

With conveyor belt levels, there's a limited amount of plants within the pool. That's why you didn't get the last Fume Shroom you wanted. You may need to dig up plants to transport them to a different place because of this.

If you use shine vine and put it on top of a magnifying grass, the maginifying grass will automatically use the sun from the shine vine to automatically shoot without you needed to tap on it!

Yeah the Escape Root thing I believe to be outdated, it was changed in this update to no longer explode and instead it can simply be eaten, so the message that it counts as losing a plant shouldn't actually be there anymore

The problem you get overwhelmed easily is that you don't have high damage output plants to decimate tanky hordes. Those zombies just eats up the damage for the weaker ones to push through.

I played through the entire game starting from scratch (no previous save file) and without Power Ups, and Dark Ages was pretty easy. Infinut, Grave Buster, Lightning Reed/Fume Shroom/Laser Bean, Magnet Shroom, Puff Shroom, Power Lily (my first Gemium; the second and last was Inferno), Sun Bean, Sun Shroom, and Iceberg Lettuce are the plants I used. I didn't have the upgrades (+1 plant food, Sun, and seed packets), either. Really not that difficult.

I have learned that the best way to use infi-nut is to spam layers and layers of him in a wall formation, which makes it difficult for zombies to get past since it's a regenerating plant...and I'm pretty sure that gargantuars is the only zombie that can actually kill the plant

One strategy that I have used for quite a few levels that I think you could try out is Endurian and Iceweed (Plus pumpkin on the endurian if you need it) any other plants you take might be specific to the level like brining Laser Bean for levels with a sheit ton of zombies or other stalling plants. The goal is to slow them down as much as you can so that they can't deal a lot of damage and then deal damage to them in many different ways. (Endurian+Iceweed+Laser Beans can stack a ton of damage pretty quickly) You just need to get a good enough start with sun shrooms to be able to get out your defenses quick enough.

You should use fume shroom more. It's a good early game plant that can give you a decent defence and it's sheap for it's damage and can kill many early game zombies and it can also do damage to more than one zombie. But you need a good plant for later in the level. And you should try endurian because it's a good plant as well. You don't have to use them but u should at least try them.
