I see a bit of Scooby....love that dark coat. Poppy's baby has a furrowed brow, like an accountant about to give you bad news. Nataly's baby is very orangey....Reddy has all the cutest kids. And Bossy's skin...yikes! I honestly think Bossy just doesn't have the energy or power anymore. She's so shabby and looks less "cared for" than I've seen before.

Poor Krissy just can't let go, awful on multiple levels. On a happier note, Bubby's little girl looks just like a little Mini-Me of her, just precious. Dainty Desirey is still cute as a button and she and Macy are just so adorable together. Desirey's charms still work on her mom Dolly who can't say not to her her little girl. I think Dolly looks preggers and wouldn't it be fantastic if she had another little girl? One can hope and we shall know soon enough.

The way I've heard it said is that the mom will carry the baby until she can't anymore. Maybe Gypsy stopped carrying and Krissy picked up the duty. Don't really know. Gypsy has rarely been the clingy mom. Often taking babysitting duty when mom had enough. But this can also be said of other mom's. Dorothy has taken her daughter Dorty's most recent babies. The babies her daughter had after mom Dorothy stopped conceiving. Even thou Dorothy has little to no milk she tries to nurse them. She rarely gives the baby back to her daughter. Even when the baby dies she will continue to carry her grandchild while mom Dorty follows.

Gypsy handed her last baby to Krissy as well, way earlier than moms will normally let their kids babysit. He was only five weeks old at the time, but I don't remember if Krissy had his body or if Gypsy did, but Gypsy never tried getting her baby back last time. She is possibly suffering from some form of PPD or a different condition that inhibits her maternal instincts. Krissy tried to nurse the last baby but she can't because she's sterilized, I wonder if the same happened again.

I definitely think the lower rank girls will be able to gain rank and favor if their offspring are fathered by Bucky. It's another reason why it's uncommon and generally a bad idea that the son of a Matriarch becomes Alpha within his own natal troop since that's gonna cause conflict and a potential power struggle in the years to come. I wonder why Bossy just hasn't tolerated any bachelors as alpha contenders since Grandee left?

@@valerienelson3296 Making friends with higher ranks, having kids with high rank members, and in very rare and once in a lifetime occasions they can take advantage of a power vacuum when someone dies or significantly drops rank. If you’re an outsider male joining a troop, you can rank by basically the same way, but you essentially go from a border guard, a scout, a beta, and finally an Alpha if you get lucky.

From what we've observed over the years, it seems that the minute they start teething, (1 to 1 1/2)m she figures they are grown or something, stops regularly nursing. They have a 50/50 chance then.

Teeny is still around and thriving despite her low-rank. She is part of Skull Head troop. She tried to get pregnant this year but wasn't successful because she's still very young, about 4.5 years old. Most low rank girls don't have babies until about 5-7 years old.

I noticed a difference in the look on the mothers faces well they groom their babies as opposed to their juveniles. With the babies they have a sweeter look and with the older ones they look more serious.

I think it's just that like how human mothers tend to be sweeter towards their younger kids when they are still babies. They don't love their older ones any less and still care for them, they just show that love differently.

Krissy not only is more maternal, she was fixed early, never had a kid, and always protected and fussed over her sibs. She probably picked it up when Gypsy dropped it.

Sadly that's unlikely since last year we saw Gypsy hand off her last baby to Krissy once he started teething. She might have developed some sort of disorder/condition or even a form of PPD.
