Well, the Fusion sells like hot cakes in my area. I actually have a black Fusion and a white Fusion the black one is a 2014 SE and the white one is a 2016 SE. I love them. I feel like the Fusion sells like crazy and they have too big of a market share. Ford would lose thousands of customers if they discontinued the Fusion or made a Only Hybrid offering. If they did that, they are nuts. Lol

Ford will probably only offer an I-4. Say goodbye to the fusion sport with the 2.7l ecoboost but Ford has said they won't be continuing the fusion at all by 2020. They recently told there suppliers to stop production.

Lowe’s or Home Depot sell MasterLock KeySafe box you can securely attach somewhere outside or in the garage if you happen to have an additional remote and they have a hidden combination lock that you can set the code and put two or three keys in. They are very secure and cost about $25. Then you wouldn’t get locked out. Don’t like the hybrid news about any gas engine car but looks like they are forcing us in that direction.

Regarding your tire pressure, you should check all 4 tires whenever the light comes on. Like the last time it happened, because the light was still on after inflating the left front, that means it probably wasn't that tire. It just went off because the pressure increased as you were driving.

I have a 2014 Fusion 2.0L Ecoboost with FWD; I average 27 mpg overall. I've always been pretty happy with the gas mileage. On long road trips I can average 32-35 mpg maintaining about 70 mph.

I own a 2017 Fusion Hybrid, and it is hands down the most enjoyable car I have ever had. I do almost only city driving, and in beautiful weather, I can get as much as 45 MPG, but in colder weather it is more around 40. I did not buy the CMAX because it was around the same price as the Fusion hybrid, but the Fusion is just a beautiful car. I would not hesitate to buy another. Have you ever reviewed the Hyrbid version?

I have a 2017 Fusion SE 2.0 EB/AWD, and honestly, the FWD vs. AWD choice was the thing I cared about the least. The 2.0 EB was a requirement since the base engine, the 1.5 EB, and the hybrids all had insufficient power for even a non-sporty daily driver car as heavy as a Fusion. In general, for snow, FWD with snow tires is pretty much perfect. On this kind of car, the only real benefit from AWD is the ability to start up from a stop on an uphill wet surface (and maybe the ability to be lazy and not put on snow tires). The real problem with my Fusion, which kills its driving enjoyment, is that its 6-speed AT is extremely slow to downshift (almost an entire second), even if you use the paddles.

I love my Fusion Hybrid, i don't mind that at all. The only drawback to it is less trunk space, but my trunk is still big enough for what I need it to carry. I can go a month without filling it up, I drive only on weekends, but compared to my previous car, the Fusion is so much cheaper on gas.

I used to average 19.2 - 22.1 in my 1.5 Ecoboost, yet I get 25-27 in my 2.5 Legacy on the same drive with my unchanged driving habits. I loved the torque and power in the Ecoboost, but you have to feather the pedal to not hit the turbo band, and learn to pulse and feather once up to highway speed. My problem with the 2.0 Ecoboost from Ford is that if you get it in the FWD Fusion it is such a waste of power if you need to floor it from a stop, because the car can't put all of the power down without spinning the wheels. Even the 1.5 has that problem.

Have a 2019 Hybrid Fusion. I’m driving mostly highway. It’s front wheel drive, but I don’t lack the horsepower on demand when I want or need it. I’m averaging 37.7 mpg in economy mode and following the suggestion of a Ford sales rep that demonstrated the vehicle on KZbin, I have been driving it like I drove my Compass. Quick starting off and slapping it into cruise control on the highway. I’m running my second full tank this week, but driving like I did last week I put 487 miles on the vehicle 125 was ev miles. With a 14 gallon gas tank I had 1/8 of a tank left with a range of another 68 miles before I would have officially ran out of gas. The suggested mpg is 43 in the city and 41 on the highway. I’m hoping driving Fords suggested way I’ll do better than that 43 mpg average in the next 7 days. Oh BTW, I went a full 10 days, 14.4 hours of drive time on 7/8’s of a tank of gas.

AWD also plays a factor in gas mileage I worked at my local Ford dealership I was doing a instead of a swap we bought a truck out right 2011 F-350 Super Duty when the 6.7 L new engine for diesel came out 820 miles one way from where I'm located to New Castle Pennsylvania drove a 2008 Ford Fusion 4 cylinder front wheel drive it was the most comfortable ride I've ever been in and that car got phenomenal gas mileage we stopped once after filling up the first time so all wheel drive does effect the fuel economy

Not sure if it'll be discontinued. Ford is discontinuing the taurus interceptor and moving the Fushion into a "police responder" series. So unless they do what they did with the crown Vic in the last couple years and not selling to the public until they axe it I wouldn't say they'll cut it. Hopefully it's not turning into a just hybrid. Have you heard about the explorer turning into a RWD for 2020?

If they didn't artificially kill off the Crown Victoria they wouldn't have this issue. The Crown Vic was popular enough even at the end that it should have remained in the lineup from a strictly business standpoint. With styling updates and maybe an updated platform it would be a solid family sedan today. The name implies a sense of prestige that is well above other cars in it's segment, something the Taurus and Fusion don't have.

Buy the new push button lock from Kwik Set 910 at Home Depot. No keys needed, just 4 AA batteries. Good lock, you can set your own codes. Mike I own the exact same Fusion as you. 2015 Titanium AWD, 2L EcoBoost etc. I reset the average MPG when I drove it off the lot in March 2015, and after 40,000 miles of mixed driving my average MPG is 25.7. How on Earth are you only getting 19.9?! You must really punish that gas pedal!

Not sure. I owned front wheel drives in NH and never had issues with snow. Now, I usually have to plan out my commute if it snows. That is, snow that is cleared out usually a couple of hours after it stops. I don't want to be on the roads anyway on snow days since there are crazy drivers who thinks they can control their cars on snow. Sometimes, they are lucky and sometimes they are not.
