My family bought many cars from that dealer. I remember it as Barrier Mercedes. During Christmas, that dealer really was the best looking in town during that time.

I worked for one of the largest hospital networks in the world. Our campus alone employed 20,000 people. Every Christmas our department manager would give us a card with a check for $5. Five dollars. It would’ve been less insulting to give us nothing.

In 2000 I was fresh 21 year old, bottom of the heap tech at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer. My Christmas bonus was in the $100-150 range. I forget now exactly how much. I was pretty happy about that. I told my step mom who was a diagnostic ultrasound tech at the hospital, and was often on call when beyond the normal hours. She got a bonus of a $50 Walmart gift card. Of course you're not necessarily entitled to get a bonus at all, but if you're going to be a hospital doing bonusses, I though $50 Walmart card was kind of lame. lol Geez $5 check. They would have done better to just hand you a $5 bill.

I’m a technician at a really small company (6 people in total) company makes roughly $5-$7Million a year, for our Christmas bonus every year they give us a $50 gift card and a candle……I think that’s OUTRAGEOUS with how much money we make them and there isn’t even a lot of us.

Seeing a few comments with examples of these BS incentives. Once had an outside company come in and try to motivate our sales staff to hit a certain production level so that we could win a trip to the islands......that the owners of our company would go on.

I used to work at a very large ,multi line, multi location dealership in one of the smaller stores as a collision tech. Once a year they had for us a tech appreciation party. They got our venders to pitch in great prizes. Including a couple of atvs, electronics, clothing, camping gear, watches, really nice stuff. We also got a awesome bbq dinner with all the fixins. Later I was working at a larger body shop for the same company...the tech appreciation party came around and the only gift I won was a gift certificate for a fast food hamburger. I never felt so unappreciated.

I worked a fine dining restaurant a long time ago. We sold more wine than anyone in the state except the distributor that sold it to us. They ran a competition for whoever could sell the most bottles in the state would get a free trip to Napa valley. I won. Turns out, I had to buy my own flight and hotel and rental car. Told em no thanks and quit.

It's hard when something like this happens.. my girl won 50/50 twice at our picnic/party.. honestly.. people thought fix.. anyway, these stories should be filmed (re-enactment) and on Netflix or similar.. some of these stories are 15 minutes of fun, some episodes full 30 minutes.. how cool would that be

I love the dealer stories 😂. They always hit close to home. I feel like every long term dealer employee has a story of over achieving a goal or going above/beyond only to get a firm handshake and a gas card worth half a tank in a Prius 🤣🤣. The rest of the crew gets pizza 🤷🏾‍♂️

Kind of a waste of time, a gm telling about how he won an allocation and didn't realize he could sell it for$10k over sticker. Really now we're having videos of dealership sales managers on here? Nothing about cars, most sale reps from dealers don't seen to be car people, just about making a buck. I haven't watched a VIN wiki video in awhile, this popped up and thought I'll give it a try.
