I called this opening the Queen's Bongcloud, after a certain miniseries. It's obviously best, but a bit stressful to play in a serious tournament. Great recovery from a challenging (bad) position, and using your speed (time trouble) skills to flip the position. I'd like to see the Queen's Bongcloud more often, but I think this particular move sequence isn't the best way to get there, You do very well in unclear (knife-edge) positions, which makes for good content, especially when your mom is commenting. Fun! Great tournament result.

Congratulations Anna! You had a really good tournament! During the opening I had the flashback too thinking is Linda going to try and use the same opening that Alex did against you? Nice that you mixed things up a bit to keep your opponent guessing. When your mom apologized to everyone in chat declaring that you were going to lose 😒, I did think that Linda would later make a blunder, which she did. I think that sometimes your mom doesn't remember that your opponents aren't as strong as your mom in spotting all the best moves. During the game, I was hoping you'd shoot for the checkmate. But looking back, I'm glad that you went the practical way to win with an up material endgame. Safe and steady was the way to go. Your Kd2 move is a sweet move! Thank you for all the effort you put into your games and recaps and best wishes on the next tournament.

I analysed the knight sac she missed. There are probably a dozen lines black can go into leading to dozens more and white has to play them accurately to not lose. They lead into checkmates but they are very counter intuitive and long lines. It would be impossible to calculate them before hand
