Omg congrats to your brother! I went to Cal (19’ Alumna) and absolutely loved it!! Unlike private universities, you do tend to have to navigate majors and classes on your own, but because you are surrounded by ambitious people you have their influence present. I was the first to attend uni in my family so adjusting was tough at first, but my niece who is at Cal now has it a bit easier bc I made the mistakes for her haha! Side note-love your content! Joining the Product team at Meta in a few weeks as a product dev specialist with hopes to become a pm in the near future!

In terms of what college your brother picks (UC Berkeley vs UCSD), it really is dependent on these things: Major (If he picks a technical STEM Major like CS/CS-adjacent or Engineering, UC Berkeley > UCSD since they have more connections to companies in those industries and the professors have stronger output of research within those areas), finances (whichever school gives him better financial aid (especially if it’s a full ride) should be the one he should aim for because student loans would be less of a problem and both are in the top 100 of universities in America, so bother have the prestige advantage), and student culture/campus vibes (honestly, this one is something your brother will have to experience for himself through his campus tour visits or looking at the schools’ subreddits)

He got into math at Berkeley and ICAM at ucsd! Tuition will be the same at both. I just want him to enjoy his college years!

@@chloeshih I see. I just looked up what ICAM is for UCSD and it seems like an applied computing major with some arts content. Also, UC Berkeley’s Math department is in the college of Letters and Science, so everyone in that college comes in as undeclared, but has to have a certain major GPA to switch to whatever major you want to study. TBH, I would still recommend Berkeley over UCSD because of the stronger STEM departments and networking in those fields, but he should definitely get a tour of both campuses to really see which one feels like the best cultural fit for him because both are great universities in the Top 100 schools in the US 🙂🙂🙂

congrats to ur brother, i know cs is great at both UCSD and UCB! might be a little biased since I'm currently a Berkeley student, but what we do have over SD is a dope collegetown (lots of boba), close proximity to SF and silicon valley companies, and really good research/industry connections (although it might be a little more stressful over here). hope ur brother enjoys cal day (if he's coming!)

That's it! Why don't you create a platform specifically for co-workers all around the world. Grouped into categories. Share video diaries, communicate, hangouts, help solve problems pertaining work, share advice and experience on a daily basis. It would have a live feed feature(video or non-video) so co-workers can work in real time with each other through the day(without disclosing sensitive data). Create an online co-working space, fun and not so serious. Everyone can share their experiences with people that actually get it.

Oh you mean creator partnerships? There's also UX research that does this. Sometimes community management does it too. I honestly just joined a startup and joined the BD team and ended up betting on creators as a growth focus for users. Then I did creator outreach, creator success, and conducted lots of focus groups with them to help craft the product vision to build for them!
