the most notable of them was of course Wehner von Braun the force behind the development of the V2 rockets that rained destruction on England. He took a senior position at NASA in the 1950's and essentially nearly singlehandely designed and developed the American space program culminating in the Apollo program landing the 1st man on the moon in July 1969.

Argentina is a nation of immigrants. It was one of the ten wealthiest nations in the world until WWII. During the great migration (late 19th century to early 20th century), they received 2M immigrants from various European countries. The largest group to arrive were from Southern Italy, the second largest group were from Northern Spain, Galicia in particular. Due to the pogroms in Russia, it has the second largest Jewish community in the Western hemisphere. Aside from the aforementioned countries, people arrived from Poland, Ireland, Germany, the UK (the Welsh settled in Patagonia), and several other nations. Yes, Nazis also settled in Argentina, but the country already had a strong German community of immigrants that had arrived many years before the war. To talk as if all the Germans who came to Argentina were Nazis is just ignorant.

I'm Luso-German Brazilian, my maternal grandpa came from Germany. I hope Milei can solve the disaster the left caused to your country and your economy specifically. Both countries received the persecuted peoples from Europe, being people fleeing pre-WWII or post-WWII. The Germans had no choice or follow orders, most of them would have faced capital punishment if they disobeyed. Congratulations to Argentina for also being prudent at the time, unlike some bloodthirsty people that were mad in their vendettas. That tells a lot about them!

Yes . And for instance , just a little example to those USA / UK citizens who still have animosities against Germans : when it was the bombing against Dresden , thousands and thousands innocents died after that unnecessary massacre . Devastated families ought to run away from that miserable destruction . So many survivors migrated overseas, so many got the chance to board for Brasil, Chile , Paraguay and Argentina, we were honoured to get their presence here as they demonstrated to be such a well organized and respectful community, they rooted here and funded countless families both among Teutonic expats and Argentinian natives . They brought the best culture you can ever imagine . Argentina hostessed all Germans without any condition , same way ex Yugoslavians, Hungarians or Ukrainians . Still today neither USA nor UK pronounced about historic repair to Dresden's victims. Don't get marvelled , anyway, all Germany is in our hearts here , German people are as beloved as Italians and Spaniards . What else do you need to know ? Viva Deutschland !!! Germans are our brothers and sisters for Argentina 's feelings' proximity , it happens the same big fraternity for Germans' crew dwelling in Paraguay, Chile , Brazil and so on . Highest reputation to Germans & Deutschland. Zero nazi aura , that's merely a media's setting prejudice from USA/UK that don't have any validating criteria for SouthAmerica
@fakerating

Wow. You're very sad about Dresden's destruction, which was during wartime... you know that little fact, right? Yet you don't mention any sadness about Germany starting two world wars, and the millions of innocent people they intentionally killed. Isn't it curious that Germans fled to South America, but they didn't flee to Israel or to the U.S. Of course the bigger question: if they were such wonderful loving people, why did they need to flee anywhere? @@estebanrearte5960

Wrong...95 % of the Germans that migrated to Argentina after WW2 WERE NOT war criminals but war VETERANS, just like the millions of Allied soldiers that were discharged from duty service when the war ended and returned to civilian life. In Europe the post war conditions were terrible, and even more so in Germany, so thousands of Germans who were released from POW camps decided to migrate to Argentina, a country with historical close ties with Germany. Sure, some former top Nazis (not more than a dozen) sneaked into the country under false names and most settled in the Bariloche region, but that doesn't certainly make this town a Nazi hideout.

As an argentinian I am offended by these sensasionalist idiots trying to rewrite history and smearing and disrespecting german heritage in Argentina. Of course there were german inmigrants or their descendants who simpathized with nazism (80% of germans, plus an important percentage of hungarians, austrians, spaniards, dutch, finns, latvians, estonians, ucrainians, and even english and americans were!) Most of them emigrated to SA many years before WWII and built many towns, infrastructure, schools and industries. These civilisatory facts have nothing to do with nazism. Of course after the war some nazi hierarchy also flrd to south america, helped by simpatethic governments... SO WHAT? Those emigrants were by far much fewer than those that emigrated and were welcomed in the USA, the gormer Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Britain and other countries. Most of them integrated and where bery useful to their hosting countries. Others were hunted and put before justice. Towns in south america are south american, nothing to do with european ideological spinsters

They were evil and continued to live their lives unpunished. That's the problem nowadays people are to quick to forgive and forget but actions at that magnitude shouldn't be waived off as something that happened a long time ago. Once that ideology spreads it's too late. Not all Germans are bad but all Nazis are. Nazi Simps and Confederate Simps ran south towards Argentina and other countries to hide but who cares right, that's not a coincidence. Edit : In 2000, President Fernando de la Rúa issued a formal state apology for Argentina's role in aiding the escape of Nazi fugitives.

Haganah, however, was no moderate group, and is thought to have carried out the terrorist bombing of Jerusalem’s King David Hotel in 1946. The transcript of Zetler’s interrogation revealed Lehi’s ties with the Nazis. “We will communicate with any military power ready to help with the establishment of the kingdom of Israel, even if it’s Germany,” Zetler is reported to have told the astonished interrogators. “The only condition is that we get weapons, so we can rebel against the English,” he added. “If Germany agrees to help us fight enemy number 1, the English, we’ll team up with it.” Zetler went on to say that Germany is “not an enemy of the Jews in Israel” and that Lehi would cooperate with the Nazis if it helped the underground “get this land,” meaning Palestine.

So what I thought was gonna be an interesting article above the sentence of them turn into a video on how to ostracize them and dread up a bad history it’s been generations living there already get over it. People are not Nazis and everybody in this world is a descendent of somebody who has probably done something quite terrible. I am a Viking descent now we have TV shows about them and they did some pretty messed up things for far longer than Germany did.

Notwithstanding the official version of Hitler's death I believe that he made it out of Germany with his wife Eva Braun. First by light plane to somewhere along the coast in Scandanavia where they boarded one of the last remaining U-boats to Cartegena Colombia. He was sighted by people over the course of a couple weeks in the small Colombian town of Tunja to the east of Medellin. They then travelled to southern Argentina probably by way of Paraguay which many NAZIs escaped to. It is believed he eventually made it to the town portrayed in this video in the company of other NAZIs. protected by tight lipped NAZIs, he is believed to have lived in this area into the early 1970's.

Based on the creation of Argentina: Argentina is not an indigenous or African country like Brazil or the United States. It is a country created by Spaniards, French and English when separating from Spain, then began the German and Italian immigrations until reaching the great immigrations that exceeded the local population, were from Spain, Italy, France as majorities and then Germany and the entire German area, to follow the English and Eastern Europeans of former communist countries. Then the German based on its location and mixtures in the Italian north and the borders with France, they can be considered Latinos, now that Latin America that you surely know is false since they usually link the Latin with a physical trait and it is not so, but in case you relate it as all with the physical trait the countries of America the only Latinos are in Argentina, Uruguay and South of Brazl. The others are Hispanic/Arab, indigenous, Afro descendants their creators, as little Latino Spain before finding America was conquered by the Arab Muslims of North Africa, that is why Chile has great Hispanic Arab traits of the times of its independence mixed with the number of Indians who were located there, something that in Argentina disappeared the Hispanic of independence by the massive immigrations of Europeans who exceeded the local population and developed the country.
