Hitbox style for MVC2 isn't bad if that's all you know. Meanwhile, Justin has been playing Marvel 2 so long he used to use a MAS stick if I remember right... hard to reprogram muscle memory there. It took me a while to change, even for more straightforward stuff like Street Fighter. I've been playing Since SF2 arcade machines, then swapped to a custom-made leverless controller using a custom faceplate for an original 360 Madcatz TE stick with a busted joystick, running wires from the buttons through the original joystick's PCB, mounted on the bottom of the case, to retain the same connector and stuff for minimal modding. My second one shortly after was a much more compact, custom-made entirely body wise, running buttons to a madcatz SF4 pad for 360 like people used to do to get dual modes back in the day. I started making them in SF4 because I found the keyboard, with thumb for jump, comfortable (and I was too lazy to pull out my fighstick). There's that KoF pro that streams with a keyboard and uses a fightstick with the WASD style hitbox config. If they can pull off KoF stuff on that setup, you can play anything with anything...

I’ve been using bone wolverine with good results with omega red and cyclops assist. Wolverine actually has some pretty high damage output without wasting meter and omega red backs him up with that high defense. Cyclops is, well, cyclops but I usually have 5 bars of meter to spend on him if it gets down to just him. A cyclops with 5 bars can still wreak havoc solo. What I love about Wolverine (that I surprisingly don’t see here) is the dive kick into assist mix up. Even if they block and push back, the assist is coming and then Wolverine has the speed to rush back in and fuck em up.

A little unrelated I know, but I just got back into the game after a MvC2 burnout and I'm trying to pick up one of the god tiers and have decided between either Mag or Sent. Mag is cool but the ROM infinite is so hard to learn, probably because I'm on pad. Like, I get to the part where I superjump but it's not working. I'm looking into a stick so maybe that will help. On the other hand, Sent is cool but the general consensus is that Sent Struggles against Cable, and I hate fighting Cable. Any chance to dunk on a zoner I will take hence trying to learn Mag. Does anyone have any advice to help? Assists to help Sent with Cable, tips for the ROM, whether or not combos outside of ROM do the job and until what level Etc.

This game should have a mode where you can pick each character once, but they let you pick any one character twice. I call it "all characters mode" where it's a best of 19. So once you used say MAgneto, can't use him again unless he is your double character.
