I have never watched or voted for anyone on American Idol. But I came accross IAM's audition and I've been following the show and voting for IAM. I even have my family voting for him. I love and appreciate diversity but when it's not forced. Iam represents a minority, but he has true talent and charisma. He was just meant to be here and now. He was chosen! And as a minority myself I feel so proud of him and how he knows how much he means to his people!

Back in my country we do have this saying spoken by our national hero that if we dont look back to where we came from we will never reach our destination. As brothers and sisters to our Polynesian neighbours, we do share same culture specially about family and loved ones. Iam song choices from the beginning is related and dedicated to his parents then he showed his side of being a brother and a friend that is why he is able to execute and sing it with full and perfect emotions. His song choices picture the reality of life. I am blessed to watch Iam Tongi conveying the reality of life, its full circle. His story telling gift is incomparable . After the show last night I came to watch all the yt reactions and still crying while watching and listening to his performance. You got this Iam! You are the next American Idol! Not just in america but all over the world. God bless you more and your family!

American idol lost the people cause it lost its authenticity. Iam is so himself not putting on a false front but being true to himself. He’s a great kid who loves his parents, and the world needs young ones to be more respectful of there elders. Likewise better parenting is needed to guide them through. R.I.P Mr Rodney must’ve been a great father and a roll model for his son. And the love Iam has for his mother is lovely to see. I’ve never watched Idol so much in my life then now.
