i hope you keep watching this one, it's sooooo good and sadly gets overlooked a lot. it does cover some dark themes, but very tastefully, and never goes _too_ dark either. it's a seriously beautiful show and every season gets better and better. it's an absolute shame it was cancelled.

My best friend suggested I watch this show a while ago, she said that Anne reminds her so much of me. The moment I met this character I felt an instant connection, It became one of my favourite shows. I was gutted when I learned season 3 was the last. My name also begins with an A, and ends with an E...and I have to always tell people " Spell it with an E" just like her. I found that adorable.

Anne with an E is a great show. As you watch it, it makes you reflect on your own thoughts about the issues presented, it makes you empathize and, most importantly for me, it brings into focus many issues that we are still dealing with today. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

love how open you were to understanding anne and having empathy for her from the jump. too many grown adults who try this show brush her off as annoying, especially in the beginning. the original books even brush aside her trauma which is why i love the show so much. it actually gives it the attention it deserves. this is one of my most beloved shows and i’m excited to see you give it a chance!

I read Anne of Green Gables in grade 4. I've read it once a year ever since, and I'm almost 61. I watched this show and bawled my eyes out, with the flashbacks that had only been hinted at in the book. It's the best adaptation ever. I'm loving what you are doing with this already, Sean - and I'm only 8 minutes in. Well done.

Anne with an E is really good. I started watching it as it was recommended by a friend and didn’t think I’d get too into it. I ended up getting so invested in it - the characters are great, it handles some really mature subjects and there are some really hard-hitting episodes. So good!

This is my first time watching you (I am a huge Anne with an E fan tho) and this was awesome to watch! I love how some of your predictions were correct or partially correct and that you were picking up on symbolic things, like Anne being treated as an object and placed with other objects only the carriage etc which usually only get picked up on when watching again or when looking with an analytical eye. I hope you continue watching because you will definitely love it!

You mentioned Anne being hyper and actually she was written as to have ADHD! It's actually a GREAT representation of how adhd manifests in women, the excessive talking , imagination and emotional responses are also part of it, as well as many other traits she displays through out the show. I related to Anne extremely heavily before I was diagnosed and when I later found out she was written with adhd in mind it made so much sense! I'm just glad I got to find some positivity and comfort in my adhd before I even knew that's what I was struggling with through Anne!

Loved your reaction! I am new to this channel and clicked on the video because it's about Anne With An E. It was, and still is my absolutely favorite show ever. I always had a hard time convincing people around me to watch it since it is not flashy and greedy like most popular shows. It would mean so much to me to see your reactions to all of the episodes. It would speak volume and show people that it is not just a show for young teen girls. I am sincerely in depths of despair because of cancellation and still holding hope it will be renewed some day.

There was a Canadian series, "Emily of New Moon" based on another book series by the same author of Anne of Green Gables. I think it only had 3 seasons. A couple of other shows that were canceled too soon are "My So-Called Life" and "Pushing Daisies". I love the idea of doing reactions to cancelled shows!

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency is a GREAT show that got cancelled. I think you'd really enjoy it, it's so fun! So is The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, but you should watch the original movie first before watching that one so... Anne with an E was soooo good. Me and my mam watched it together and we were so sad when it got cancelled. Netflix always gets rid of the really good shows 😒

I loved this show so much, I was so sad it got cancelled. I read all the books when I was little and there would been so much potential for more seasons! Also you seem a little confused about Anne’s situation: at the time the books were written orphans weren’t really treated well. Orphanages were pretty grim places and people who took orphans into their house usually did so because they needed someone to help with the work. Children as young as 7 were pretty much considered cheap labour and entered a life of indentured service. Anne's life as shown in the flashbacks and mrs. Lynn's attitude towards her were pretty commonplace. People had some pretty strong prejudices towards orphans, too. Like how someone without parent would never grow up to be a decent person and things like that. LM Montgomery who wrote the books wanted to bring some light to situation and also get people to be more sympathetic towards orphans.

They deal with everything you mentioned PLUS sexuality. Also, excuse you? The romance is absolutely necessary and one of the reasons they need to bring this back. I mean, mostly because we need to know what happened to Ka'kwet, but wow. Anne's journey is amazing and so very unfinished. She stays Anne but doesn't stay THIS Anne.

Oh my gooooddddd this is one of my favorite shows of all time! I grew up with the books and the animated version, also grew up watching the older adaptation, and this adaptation is absolutely beautiful and puts a fresh point of view to something that had been done a million times. I love everything about it and the fact they cancled it was a sin. I truly wish you would keep watching this on KZbin! I would be a constant watcher of that, I loved your commentary 😍 and I think you would enjoy every plot arc they are going to have. I was not expecting this but I hope you keep watching it. Anne with an E is such a good show. She is dramatic but is very wholesome, She's bratty but really smart and capable, She's strong but emotional. She talks a lot but when she does she says something beautiful and profound. She equally annoys me and makes me love her at the same time. That's why she's such a good character and that's why Amybeth McNulty is such a fantastic actress and was the perfect choice. And... as a redhead, I kinda feel sad that people gave her such a hard time with it, she hates her hair and idky. I love my hair and I think Red hair is beautiful, and everyone always compliments me on mine.

I read the first book when I was young. Then I re-read it as a teen. And read the other 3 books after it. I wanted to watch the show but never did because the girl playing Anne annoyed me. I know the show is a bit different from the book because they added more stories and flashbacks, and fleshed certain things out. I'm glad a lot of people liked it. It was a very special story. One I would go back to again and again over the years.

When you said 'she pretends to be other people instead..' and 'I like imagining things better than remembering' - oh that's sad.. Where are my fellow people with maladaptive daydreaming? I have maladaptive daydreaming, autism and adhd, and I think Anne might have these things as well, I think that's why I relate to her so much. We made up our own imaginary worlds and personas to escape trauma and boredom. Plus I think Anne is an INFP and so am I. I want to become a writer some day. I love this show so much. I think your video was so funny, and I hope you watch more of this show, because it is amazing!

I'll never forgive Netflix for canceling this amazing show. I was beyond furious when the news broke out. There's rumors of a potential 4th season in talks, but they've been saying that for years now so I don't put much stock to it.
