What's the city mileage? How's the power delivery in city and for touring? I am considering buying this over rr310 simply because rr310 is way out of budget both for its price and maintenance.
@5678vinn
@5678vinn 4 жыл бұрын
@@prathamj2215 since its fuel injected, mileage totally depends on your riding style. If you ride under 5k rpm, you'll get approximately 34-35kmpl. Highway around 37-38. It delivers excellent power. And it's quite controllable unlike any KTMs. Its an excellent tourer. I would suggest you take a test ride and get the feel for it yourself. I don't regret purchasing this motorcycle at all.

What about the Engine refinement?did you ever feel any kind of stress on your motor when revving the engine high as it has SOHC ?also I'm bit concerned about its parts availablity. let me know the whether it has a punchy mid and decent low end torque. Anyway the international sibling of sf has an eye catching design.Gsx250R😌.May be they have done this as a part of price cutting.
@5678vinn
@5678vinn 4 жыл бұрын
@@MyVault The benefit of SOHC is the low end torque. I doubt it affects the vibration level compared to DOHC. The engine is quite refined until 6k rpm. After that, you might feel some vibration on the footpegs. Other than that, Suzuki is known globally for it's reliability. So, I'm not worried about engine durability. GSX250R has an inline two engine, but it's powered down. In fact, westerners wish the Indian models were available in their countries. Design wise, you may be right though.

At 4.38 you said that rear brake was average. With this, a memory struck in my mind Strell Brother. It was 2013 when one of my friend bought Yamaha Fazer 150. When I rode it I was shocked to see that the rear brake (which was a drum set up) was horibally weak. When used alone, it was not able to stop bike even if I almost stood on it. It just slowed the bike with a pace trains in India slow down. I thought that that was a problem with that particular bike. But soon when my another friend bought a Bajaj Pulsar 220 I found that, to a great extent, the rear disk brake of that particular P220 had the same problem. Since then I have noticed this phenomenon in various KZbin videos where the reviewers notice that the bikes equipped with front disk brakes usually have very weak rear brake- irrespective of the rear brake being a disc or a drum. (Of course there are some exceptions though- I have rode Honda Hornet 160 2017 model and Honda Unicorn 2021 BS6 model where the rear drum brakes were having excellent bite and were able to stop the bike from high speeds alone.) My question is- why?? Do the manufacturers purposely equip the bikes with front disc brakes with a weak rear brake to encourage riders to use the front brake more frequently as the correct way to use front and rear brakes in the ratio of 70:30 or 80:20. Or is there any other reason? Please reply brother.

I own one of the same colour. As a regular office rider(Hinjawadi IT park) I felt some heating only once(very heavy traffic, more than 1 hr ). On Highways(Pune to Mumbai) the only thing limiting this bike are bad drivers/squids and bad roads. It is really fun to ride this bike. Biggest gripes would be the fragile paint quality, tiny windshield and lack of proper frame sliders. Oh, and I didn't like the service center support, they seem to be poorly trained/lazy. Apart from that, there are no other issues in my bike [touchwood]. Edit: You are the only one praising the pillion seat :P. Even I found it very comfy(test rode as pillion too :P)

I think I have rode the same bike that you have taken for test ride .. got my bike delivered in June 2019 near Hosa road. SF 250 is amazing, linear power, well balanced in every area. Only issue I faced is with my rear brakes Making rattling sound and high vibration on brake pedal only when I apply hard brake.. Suzuki says it's cuz of dual channel abs. I still feel it's a fault cuz the vibration and sound is so loud that when it happens it makes us want to release the brake immediately which is a big safety concern specially when u apply an emergency brake. To all the 250 owners, plz let me know if ur facing any such issues.

Please have your brake pad and disc checked by a different mechanic. There is a possibility that either of these could have a slight damage and that is causing the problems when the wheel is moving in high speed. Also pls check the wheel alignment and fitment.

Hi Strell, I own a Gixxer 250 (naked one) and I'm really impressed with it in terms of all aspects and especially mileage... I've done a 500kms ride on it and I received a mileage of 44kmpl from it even after keeping up at speeds of 120-125kmph continuously.. The new 250 Gixxer series has completely been awesome..

What are your thoughts when you compare this with CBR 250R... Is it better, is it lacking in things like engine power, refinement.... Would love to know that from you... This would help understand SF250 characteristics better.... Would you prefer this bike to CBR250R if they are available at the same time....? Please let us know....

Dude, first the abs variant of cbr 250r cost 35k more than the sf 250 I'm not hating on cbr but it's quite outdated ,no major update after 2016 only little cosmetic change from new sticker But the CBR 250R is obviously better than the sf 250 in terms of performance and refinement . But I can't digest the fact that Honda is taking Indian market for granted. They are launching new models everywhere. But in India they are selling an outdated machine . But if you are interested in the performance of cbr ,you are better off waiting for the cbr 300r . It will probably launch in India in the second half of 2020 But(again) expect a price tag similar to ninja 300 So the cbr 250r is out of picture, for the price sf 250 is well worth it .Suzuki's oil cooling is very good , it can be compared to similar priced liquid cooling. At last the Suzuki design is inspired from the old school katana.

@@aswinaugustine5308 well cbr 300r is a 2cylinder bike so one would expect a cost range of ninja 300 and yamaha r3

@@deepakrajaram2010 so when cbr 300 launches there will be no competition for the sf 250 in its price range

Dear Strell, kindly help me: Requirement: A reliable 200-250cc motorcycle which will last for 10-15 years and 1 lakh kms without breakdowns, minimal repairs, easy spares availability. Reliability & durability is the key requirement. Daily city/suburbs commute of 20km a day with highway/ hill station rides on weekend. Commute distance will increase after 3 years. My options/likings: Tied/confused between Suzuki Gixxer SF250 (Silver) and TVS Apache 200 (White), while Yamaha FZ25 (White) is distant third choice. I didn't consider Bajaj, KTM, Royal Enfield for reliability/trust issues. Sadly no Honda bikes in 200-250cc segment to consider. I want to pass this bike to my son after 15 years in good condition.

Mojo in terms of refinement and power if you're not on a budget constraint. I own the naked version and i was on a budget constraint so went with this and am satisfied with the bike. I did add extra padding to the seat though to solve the slightly stiffer suspension setup
