'Allo. The 'Once Bitten,Twice Shy' single made the Top 10 in Australia.back in '76,or it may have just been in Melbourne. That'd make sense. Awesome groove, catchy as hell dirty, bluesy riff, and that perfect piano, pretty heavy for back then all up and the words and their delivery sleazy enough.Loved this song from the first time i heard 'Allo, onwards.Straight up grabbed me in a similar way to a fair few other English artists around that time.[Damn you English came up with some sensational music back then that's shaped my music life tremendously.]Took a few years to pick up on some of the double entendres on this, however. One of the numbers of songs that really whet my appetite as a just-about-to-turn-teenage kid.Ian Hunter is a legend rocker who was 77 when he made his most recent record,[i believe] Mate! You just gotta love, admire and respect that! Could think of worse ways to go out than with your Les Paul in your hands, still crankin' it out loud in your 80's or more. Way Worse!

He says in interviews he can’t really hear those he has influenced but after the two minute mark I can see why The Clash were big fans and Mick Jones went regularly to see Hunter with Mott and there is the Ellen Foley connection but Ian Hunter also tells this story of letting in a broke skinny 14 year old called John in to a gig in the north somewhere via the back door who only turned into the legendary punk rock vocalist Joe Strummer.
