@@briansaben5697 Listen I hate Layoffs as much as the next person having experienced and been through 5 myself. Most of the logic to do such is bullshit and often the wrong people get laid off so the company can better support the short term goals Wall Street has given them. This is the first time it's ever clicked and made sense as it really does have to do with their long term goals and business model. Shit timing though will never forgive people who lay off during the holidays.

They took down a bunch of episodes that made the company look bad. Or rather Doug look bad. So anything regarding OSHA and any other embarrassing things
@LabTech41Ай бұрын
@@Fhoulghoul I think that's wishful thinking on the part of people who had it out on Doug; there are episodes missing that in no way were as you suggest. Really, the people who wanted to make hay out of their misunderstandings of the layoffs had their time, they're already going back under their rocks, and they should stay there and look in the mirror before they pop off again. I think HonestAunty had it right: they're probably involving people who've been let go, and are being vetted during the transition period. Most will probably pop back in once a certain span's elapsed. I think November 5th should've been a lesson to certain people that there's a lot of people out there that are sick of the politically correct tropes of the last 15-20 years, and that these tropes need to go away. You don't have to like or agree with Doug, but nothing short of reasonable discussions with open minds and steel-manning arguments will be taken seriously, period, end of.
@FhoulghoulАй бұрын
@@LabTech41 lol ok edgelord. What does thinking they delisted videos that make them look bad? (Which they just did with the tariff video) have to do with political correctness? Or Trump? Who cares about that? OSHA and layoffs aren’t political correct stances just basic law and decency. Remember to get the hard to reach spaces when you’re licking their boots, buddy
@LabTech41Ай бұрын
@@Fhoulghoul They delisted the tariff video because all the wannabe socialists came out of the woodwork, just like all the wannabe CEO's came out of the woodwork on the layoff videos. Sometimes, you have to pick your battles, especially when it's energy vampires like that ilk. Honestly, I'm glad this whole politically correct BS is going away; it just sucks all the joy out of the room to hear the undeservedly self-righteous types spout BS. You lot are going to strut and fret your hour, and then you'll go away and find something else to make you miserable; you won't be missed.

Saw this table at PAX yesterday. I hate to say it but I did not like the topper. I know it's real wood but it resembled the kinda table you'd find at a discount furniture store with a fake laminate top. I may just be too white trash to be used to seeing that kinda wood used in furniture but it was not for me. I also noticed quite a few imperfections in the decorative inlay samples (those 4 designs that look like they are meant to go in the corners of a table topper). Not to continue this negativity train but I also noticed the seat of one of the chairs with the built in storage wasn't mounted center when I went to pull the seat closer to the table, I could feel a difference in the overhang with my fingertips. The complexity of the work you do is mindblowing but if I paid $30k for a Prophecy and chairs only to find imperfections like those in (what should be) your BEST work samples... I'd be pretty upset lol.

I'm just waiting to see what leadership in the C-Suite is going to do about their personal failure to the company. I assume the cause of the failure (marketing, projections) is being let go, without their stock options and no golden parachute. As a failure of that size is not acceptable in anyother business. I also assume the entire managerial staff took paycuts to the lowest paid employee, so they can keep as much staff as possible. Or are we just another heartless company these days?
