I saw Nita play this guitar live a couple of years ago. She was great. It's based off the S Series, their super thin body design. They're cool guitars, takes a little getting used to though because it sits so much closer to your body than the RG

I own one, it is great, fast to play. There is a lot of sustain out of the pickups. The Katana didn’t create your normal sound. I’d say grab it, it is a fun guitar to play.

Yes great sustain! Amps...I usually plug into whatever is closest! I just filmed a new video with Riff with Cliff that will be on the Replay Guitar Exchange channel where I played through the 5150 Iconic (much better sound than the Boss)

My first ever guitar was a ibanez roadster series 2 ...they always have that distinctive sound and feel every guitar ive had since hasn't compared to an ibanez

Generally I see a lot of signature models that are expensive but don't have a lot of difference from the stock models on which they're based. But the JIVA piqued my interest when it came out. It's clearly based on the S-series but has the RG-style pickup configuration and custom pickups, and that's not even talking about the ECG inlays and colours. My RG550 has the wizard neck and it's super thin and comfortable for leads. So all-round this seems like a very good package and if I was in the market for 1-1.5K guitar this would seriously be on my radar.

I like how that sounds clean! It doesn't have that DiMarzio nasal, compressed sound. I love Ibanezs but not the Air Norton - Tone Zone combo on ALOT of their guitars.

Yeah these pickups are great! My RH had the stock V7, S1, and V8 pickups which I’ve grown to love

I have the Ibanez SA260, which is similar to this guitar. It is a good guitar, but there is one small drawback. If you have a wireless system a lot of them won't fit in the deep socket at the front. Other than that it is a nice guitar.

Yeah I was wondering about that. I love this guitar but the input in that spot is a little weird. I would assume Nita plays with a wireless though

I was thinking of picking up an Ibanez Genesis RG550 I've noticed these are about £300 more. Would you consider this a better purchase for tge extra £300
