@@gordonbrown5476 The first two digits of the number on the neck plate are the year of production. For slightly more detailed info, Google search 'Ibanez serial numbers' 👍 & a number of serial # searchers will come up. (Edit) Happy owner ❤ of two 85s & an 84 Roadstar IIs

Same here…. It’s the exact same bass as this guy here. At least I can’t see the difference anyway. The 2+2 headstock when they went to that just don’t sit right with me. Love this headstock shape. Got mine for $90!! 💥💥💥

I have exactly this bass, except black. It's cira '77 or so, and still had those 'suicide' strap buttons. I made a shorty truss rod key as well. Mine didn't have that bridge, just a regular p-bass bridge. Cleaned that up with brass saddles. The pickups have adjustable pole pieces. The neck in these things is great, and it has great tone and deep sound. It's my favorite.

@steffhw4 жыл бұрын
A Blazer was my first Bass back in `82. Still have it, rediscovered it and love it. Heavy beasts, but man they do sound great! I guess the Blazer series was short lived and replaced by RoadStars. Besides the brass hardware they might have changed the body wood from ash to something else as well.

I don't like that saddle design. I palm mute on bass every now and then, both when picking and playing with the thumb, so I instantly see the string contact point being obscured. Same problem with Rickenbacker bass and guitar bridges and Fenders with the vintage style ashtray cover.
