I just bought an Ibanez sr605e, the main selling point was the Nordstrand pickups. My God does this bass sound great!

Carey I have to say i have used many different Pick Ups. From Seymour Duncan, Aguilar, Bartolini's, Emg's, Etc. But for me nothing compares to Nordstrands. Excellent

I play the Nordstrands big splits on my esp Ltd bass and I love them! They have a very warm and dark sound, but not muddy!! Super clean and super quiet!

I'm actually looking at these for mine. Check my youtube picture. I'm also looking for a warm and dark sound that retains it's clarity. Good to know it worked for you.

I can't get a definitive answer, maybe Mr. Nordstrand will read this. I purchased the SR2600E and I feel this bass is unusable when the blend is not at the center detent. Otherwise these pickups are so noisy I either have to roll the highs band off or switch to any of my other basses that don't have a Nordstrand installed in it. So my question is, did I get a dud or are these pickups just that noisy? I have no problem swapping out to some Barts or EMGs I just shouldn't have to for what I paid for this bass

Maybe try running through a lower frequency through the onboard eq, or shut the eq off all the way? Depending on what eq you're playing on you might have to tweak some things as well

I have a 2605 and I don't have that problem. Cash in on that warranty

I've got the 2600 and even with the horrible power situation in my house the pups are only slightly more noisy full stop either way on the blend. Try a battery first, try a different cable, amp, etc, then use warranty if problem persists

@@mojoemurphy yeah I don’t even play it anymore. I’ll stick to my other bases. Probably sell that one eventually.

I really wish I could find more info on the SR1900. I've had my eye on that one for a while but I cant find a local shop that stocks it. Do you guys think you could put up a demo video for this bass?

Had a SR1300 but there was a spot on the neck where to much material was removed and you felt a hump on a 1300€ bass neck so I send the bass back. I really love the series but such a sleeping QC at a 1300€ instrument is a no go. How can there be to much material removed if they cut the neck with CNC? I’ll hope the neck on my next bass is perfect and deserves the premium written on it.

Can someone tell me, if there any neck dive with SR 1306 and are there steel frets?

I have a 700 bucks SR and it sounds incredible. Is it really worth it to pay 2000? I have not tried anything above SR655 but I think NOT.

Bale Berg well these aren't 2000, the most expensive I've seen in the premium line is 1500, the prestige series is what breaks the 2000 mark

I had two sr1400's with the big singles. Returned both of them because of the irritating out of tune sounding tremolo-chorus effect even after lowering the pickups as far as possible. Not impressed.

@Monster in the Bassment I don't think so. Got the SR5000 with the Bartolinis. Very happy with it.

Whatever fancy named pickups isn't going to make any difference when the workmanship is from Indonesia. All that i can see are aesthetics. I hear no meat.

Indonesia makes fine guitars. All I can see is you being a snob.
