Literally just bought this about 2 hours ago it's the first time I've ever stacked a tube screamer before my overdrive and it literally changed my entire metal guitar life. I finally reached that sound I always hear!!!!

Bought one today and its significantly brighter and more modern sounding than my older TS9. They have the same knobs but they sure sound different.

I barely got one (paid 180). Its the first tube screamer I've had and man.. its so good. Its like it makes the white noise behind digital distortion useful.

If you have a tube amp do these really do anything?

yeah, they are designed to be used in front of a tube amp. They push the preamp tubes. It's not really a replacement for a tube amp, but an enhancement.
