It's amazing to realize how Sid Myers Pirates remains the gold standard for what a pirate game should entail. This reminds me of FTL in the sense that it's turn-based and real-time (unless you cheese the pause button like I do)?

Unfortunately there will never be a true follow up to Sid Myers Pirates, after 30 years i still play it.. fun game and needs to be remade for 2024...

I played it yesterday evening. This game is really good and very well finished. It is a mix of darkest dungeon and slay the spire. Really great !

Sea of Thieves is online, requires other people to gain access to the larger ships and missions. This is a single player game. Huge Difference.

The game is super repetitive. Was bored after an hour & refunded it.

Eh, this was almost an immediate pick up. But, now that ive seen its focus on monsters and supernatural stuff, it will be a skip for now. Pick it up when it hits 50 plus off down the line.
