nice job on the ice. gotta love how when targeting panfish with small lures that pike and bass still show up. Good way to keep it simple out there with just 1 rod and artificial bait.

When it gets this time of year I love to go back and watch some of your summer time video's. Open water current seems and eddy's. You know what I mean ? Nothing like a thick tailed bronze back in current in the summer. So thanks because your stuff gets me through the tough times and we don't even have ice here, but still you can go the water . But it aint the same.

Great mixed bag fishing the frozen lake. Love the patience to land that pike on panfish gear. That's a real nice way to put together an outing by jumping from hole to hole. It's the hardest lesson for me to teach newbies. Don't get comfortable even if we bring the shanty. We're drilling a half dozen or more holes for a reason. Stay mobile brother!

5 lb ice fluoro is the best. It’s surprisingly strong and abrasion resistant on the botttom of the hole. Small enough to not be overkill for sunfish but strong enough to pull in a bass or pike when needed.

My favorite panfish/trout rod is a 29" Snitch from 13 fishing. I am not big on brands, I didnt even know the brand was 13 Fishing all last winter lol. I just found it at a tackle shop and liked the feel of it. I liked it so much I searched out the name and found out what it was this fall.

i know the exact lake man.... I was literally going to do a video on this lake LOL, i knew as soon as you walked down the woods... caught a 40 inch pike out there and some big crappies and bluegills in the mix. bass is awesome out there kayaking. catch and release since itsnot a big lake but its fun

I’ve seen people use a regular fishing pole through the ice many times. The shorter poles are mostly because people generally fish inside a little shack and don’t need to cast. All you need is a way to cut a hole in the ice - an auger, spud bar, axe etc and you could ice fish. Sonar helps but if you know the body of water or are lucky with your hole placement it’s not necessary.
