Andre is was a creative genius who's creativity and lyricism will stand the rest of time. Big Boi is a legend and that can't be argued however he might have become a legend or as big of a legend if he came out as a solo artist. His voice, style lyricism and overall artistry is common. Andre stands out.

No it's NOT a solo album until it is marketed and sold as a SOLO album. Public perception shapes history and if you think people will look back on that double album as a Andre 3000 solo body of work you aren't even being honest with yourself. Same reason Black Thought had to finally cut the bullshit and put a project out with his name on it.
@what75304 ай бұрын
Marketing wise, it's not a solo album. But, in terms of, "I can craft a body of work that is just me," yes it's a solo album. Unless the argument is "can you put out a very successful solo album?" He doesn't NEED to put out anything else. He's already proven he can craft a body of work, double digit songs (enough for an album), and lead it all himself and it be amazing.

I get what Ice meant though: he meant give us a Andre solo album in the same way that Big Boi gave us Sir Luscious Left Foot, Son Of Chico Dusty back in 2010, and other solo albums that he put out after that. Speakerboxxx/The Love Below was indeed an Outkast album. Ice just over spoke his point

Joe is right "Love Below" was a solo album. Also OutKast during that time were still on contract and couldn't release solo albums. That's why they did the double CD. I want a Solo album from 3 stacks, but I am not in my feelings for it. Ice needs to step back and look at the big picture. Andre to this day is one of my most genuine artists of his time. He's earned his place to do whatever the fuck he wants to do. He doesn't owe us anything at this point. He's one of the greats and deserves to be left at that.

I don't agree two different artists. Andre has put in work with outkast, the low below and he has 50 to 100 features. He has current features. There is nothing to criticize all of his verses were top teir. The fans just want another album. That's all anyone can say. Yall can't criticize anything he put out feature wise or group wise. The only thing that wasn't good was that soundtrack outkast did.

Em was trying to drop every year with bad project concepts, mid projects year after year and bad production. Yall who D ride em are the reason his career suffered. Bc if yall buying everything he puts out. Acting like he was still in his prime. You're going to get mid albums. Houdini was horrible quess what it sold 😂😂😂. He rightfully criticized em isn't and hasn't put out anything that touches prime em.
@deontaedarden95795 ай бұрын
Outkast has been criticized since they came out. The artist has to care what you think . Andre doesn't care em cares to a certain point. But he doesn't even care bc it still sells. Em hasn't done anything new. When he did it failed. It went back to dissing people. Now he tried to go back to his slim shady days. He is a one trick pony.

Yall fans are the problem nas has put out the best projects of his career with hit boy the last few years. Your talking about em like he is rapping like or better then his prime. We are not entitled to a Andre 3000 solo album. Let’s just be happy he is keeping it real with himself. Hopefully he will have a change of heart.

3Stacks verse in the leaked joint with Kanye “Life of the Party”, his verse on Get Up Get Out & Get Something, his verse on Elevators, and his verse on Rosa Parks… hip hop heads want 10 - 15 tracks like that. But 3Stacks might not wanna do rappity rap like that, he’s just top tier when he chooses to do so. Lowkey Big Boi is the emcee in the group.

I appreciate both perspectives and love both LL and Andre. Two of my top 5 period. Look, I think LL's mission with Rock the Bells is to provide an avenue for all hip-hop artists to continue their craft. If Andre doesn't want to rap, that's fine. I know he's still creative and can still write, because the best think about that flute album was the song titles. LOL. Those were way better than the music.
