The writer of the Alien: Romulus comic did an AMA recently on reddit and he said he was very limited by the number of pages they allowed him to have. It was even supposed to be shorter but he fought for more pages.

AVP3 should be connected the previous AVP films to some degree, as well as the solo Alien and Predator films in some way, while going in its own direction in a future setting and featuring Colonial Marines. We also really need that AVP anime to be relased!!! Just focus on making it better than Covenant...

Crossing my fingers that we eventually get some kind of cross-over with PLANET OF THE APES. As a POTA fan, I see this idea get tossed around here and there. The way I see it, there could be three stories; one for ALIEN, one for PREDATOR and then it concludes with a full AVP VS POTA. Cause Caesar could totally take on the Predator. 🐵

It can’t possibly be worse than Requiem. Something happens in the film that places it beyond redemption. And honestly, something similar happens in Romulus that i’m still processing.

Whatever shape the to-be-decided production team ultimately makes of it, should they decide to drop the "Alien vs. Predator" name tag due to some perceived tarnish over criticisms of the prior two films I'm not going to get twisted in a knot over it. There are plenty of options where they can take that one, simply naming the film. It's the story and script that are most important. I think whether they rework the originally drafted script or write an entirely new version, telling the story from the initial four-issue miniseries set on Ryushi could be a great place to take the next film. That addresses two of the prominent complaints surrounding the two earlier films - taking the action off of Earth and out into space, and setting it sometime in the future rather than present day. Right now my only stipulation would be to not link the story in any way to AvP and Requiem, start fresh with something else, something worthy of the scale, scope and gravity the collision of these two alien races deserves.

Great update vid guys! However, there is one thing that’s confusing me… where/what exactly is PREY 2? Like, if BADLANDS is a PREY sequel (apologies if I got that wrong), how exactly does it connect, when it takes place in New Zealand, in the future, and with some white broad as the lead? If I sound slightly mad, it’s because the set-up at the end of PREY, of a Comanche tribe going up against the Predators sounds amazing! Also, Amber Midthunder is super hot. So, will the real PREY 2 please stand up??

Technically pirates and samurai existed at the same time. So did cowboys. So maybe they will do cowboys for the third one and the twist will be it's all the same hunt

If they start spitting out movies at breakneck speed we will most likely be grumpy again in a few years from now. Hollywood loves milking the cashcow once they have had a hit and they F i up probably because they don't care as they know they will make easy money on quick sequels after a recent success. I got meself some new marvel TPB of alien and predator, still have to read those, never heared of black white and blood though probably not TBP yet, btw I hope those marvels are same level as the dark horse ones..

My suggestion would be... A 2-part movie, with very different story elements! - 1st movie, basicly "Earth War", though not on earth, but a well established, terraformed earth-like outpost/colony. There, xenos investation/invasion happens, by ships, which was also an act of terror, because it was planed & put into motion long ago, by DAVID. Can be traced back to a far away, abandoned colony. At the end of the movie the planet falls & must be nuked from orbit, kinda Exterminatus, it becomes a restricted area. - Now, 2nd movie, would be "Genocide & Apocalypse" for several reasons. A private, multi-bilionare industrialist company provides prototype-tech against the xenos. The USCMs provide 2 ships, +1 private. The planet they'll have to go is a dark bio-punk wasteland (that would've given Giger a boner), with 2 xeno-tribes fighting each other. 1 of those is David's copy-breed, trying to erase the original species, from which they originate off. There's a massive dead city of relics & knowledge in the middle. And underneath is a cave system where David lives, with his cult (humans & androids), he is their messiah, and he tries to gain knowledge, to improve his copy-breed of xenos. This planet is supposed to be Ground Zero, whoever did whatever, id began there. Questions should be answered, though not everything, it has to be vague. - Short time window, the Engineers are coming as well, they want David deader than just unalive, because David annihilated some of their colonies on his way before he found Ground Zero. - Outside in the open it's more like a war-movie, fast & loud, but inside/underground it's still horror-survival, slow & silent. If you know "Genocide", you know what the prototype stuff is. Space Marine armor, big guns, a giant dropship that functions as a FOB, including lots of weapons systems, with the capabilities to place these spike-poles with defensive/offensive functions, to create a "save corridor" for the USCMs + some scientists. - Big finale, while maintaining the human aspects, the intelectual part, and the threat of the xenos isn't gone, but David's story "ends" here (maybe he morphs into a copy-breed xeno-god abomination of pure, beautifull madness, but perfection nontheless. As he sees it, whatever), but the prequel stuff should end here. That means Engineers as well, they should go extinct, which would fit the worldbuilding. Oh, and no Predators/Yautjas. Would be too much. But they could step in after this story. This being said, pretty sure they won't make any of this happen. They don't care, wanna keep it small & not expensive.

I love Romulus and thought Rain and Andy were great.. but I have no desire to watch more of their story. Id be more than happy to hear Fede was going to direct another alien movie though, I think he did a great job.

I’m looking forward to the Predator Anthology, although rather have seen it as live action but I hope they take a leaf from the Dark Horse comics and are all set in different time periods - samurai - romans - medieval- vikings - Greeks - WW1/2 - so much to mine

I created a story concept for an AVP movie, set in the future, in a different part of the universe, no humans, just following a group of Yautja that have captured a band of Bad Bloods which have a secret plot to destroy Yautja Prime. Their ship is taken over by the Bad Bloods and they open up a space rip to an unknown planet. After the crash, the only survivor was the clan leader, now waiting for rescue. But the planet harbours the Xenomorph. The surviving Yautja now has to get to the pick up point before the Xenomorph gets him. I have plenty of details that I go over in my 3 part livestreams on my channel.

I consider myself an Alien fan and a Predator fan (more the former, but still) but I've never really been an AVP guy. I only like the old AVP games because of getting to play as Colonial Marines and fight xenos or hunt as a Predator etc. Never had much time for the crossover and I think that AVP 2004 is probably the worst film in either franchise, only with AVPR slightly better as it's somewhat amusing. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic for more. Romulus was fine. Started off good, went down hill after about 30 mins, terrible ending with that embarrassing hybrid creature but the film still had some good qualities. And while I liked the main characters well enough, I dont particularly want to continue their story. Would rather a new standalone story, ideally something set closer to Aliens and Alien 3. Prey, I think is possibly the most overrated movie in either franchise and wasn't very enjoyable for me, so I don't have high hopes for Badlands. I realise i'm probably in the minority there but I don't care. All in all, between these and the Alien TV show, I'm not optimistic going forward.

That comic was shit. The dialogue felt like it never got fleshed out from its bullet points. The intire story felt like it was happening over the course of an hour, all those scientists and it felt like Mother was doing all the work somehow.

AvP should be its own thing, separated from the Alien timeline
