The eurovision movie brought me here. Thank youu!! Husavik is such a beautiful place, I want to go there sometime. Are the places in the movie real? like where the eleves and everything? lol
@IcelandHotSpots4 жыл бұрын
It's a gorgeous town. Well Husavik is real of course and the landscapes but I guess Hollywood usually tries to add some spice with their cgi magic. I don't know if the elf house was made specifically for the movie. I think we Icelanders don't really believe in elves but we are fond of the stories about them and we don't want to forget them. There are hundreds of hills and rocks and cliffs in Iceland that people say are elven towns or habitats.

Helloo, I couldn't find the answer on the internet, so I would like to know whether you know the answer: How deep is the water in Skjálfandi Bay?
@IcelandHotSpots2 жыл бұрын
Hi there check out this file on page 10: www.vegagerdin.is/vefur2.nsf/Files/oldufarsutreikningar_faxafloi_skjalfandi/$file/%C3%96ldufarsreikningar-Faxafl%C3%B3i-Skj%C3%A1lfandi_%C3%BAtg%C3%A1fa%20A.pdf You will find that the depth varies greatly depending on your location. Any particular spot you have in mind?
@AdAstra342 жыл бұрын
@@IcelandHotSpots Hi, thank you for your answer. To be honest, I did not understand what I was reading in the PDF; probably my bad. We went whale watching in Husavik on the Skjálfandi Bay last month and we went a little bit north from there, so the tour took more than 4 hours instead of 3 and we were wondering how deep the water is where we watched the whales. Any ideas on that? Thanks.
