My grandfather had one back in the Good Ole days we used as a hay truck it had no doors and a granny gear that we used to throw hay on the trailer. We would drop in the GG and jump out and throw hay!!! He would have LOVED one of yours!!! A Masterpiece - Bravo!!!! I Never get bored listen/watch you talk about your masterpieces!!! #maybeoneday

The GG-1 locomotive that the Pennsylvania Railroad used from the 30's to the late 70's by Amtrak. I am a retired locomotive Engineer and got to run the GG-1's the last few years they used them. Phenomenal Electric locomotives, ran on 11 KV 25 Cycle AC power, two traction motors per powered axles of which there were 6 powered. Plus two pilot trucks at each end to lead the locomotive and provided a excellent ride up to 100 mph. There are several GG-1's sitting in museums around the country including the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum in Strasberg, Pennsylvania. Just thought you'd like to know he was a prolific railroad designer.

Lowey and Henry Dreyfuss were some of the most recognizable and interesting designers from the 1920's to the 60's. Have always loved their work and I thank you Mr. Ward for giving men like them the recognition they deserve. Cheers!

Jonathon, if I were ever to win lotto you'd be getting either a phone call or email from Australia asking where to send a 1955 FJ Holden to you to have a restomod done on it. then there would be many more calls back and forth to sort out the fine details of what I would like done to it along with any of your suggestions as well. your work is outstanding and the quality of your builds are second to none. wish there was someone in Australia doing the same kind of thing. (again, if I won the lotto, lol )

Beautiful work as always! Love the attention to detail you have. The one thing I notice that many do with these trucks is put the gas fill in the bed. It would be nice to see it put on the outside of the bed. So that when you fill up your not dragging the hose of the rails. Also the chance of gas drops getting on the finishes.

Those that ask you "why didn't you.... " just don't get it. So far every vehicle you have done just nails it perfectly. There's nothing else needed. You create a vehicle that would stand with any production model for reliability yet still has that cool unique look.

Love the quiet of the interior, and the wide angle shots of the road from the interior. There's so much black to the exterior until you peek at the bed, that I wonder if it would have worked to ad some of that trim on the footstep area to open up the black a bit. Marvelous idea with the windows opening with the handles....hey, nice watch in that shot at 7:55. Beware the sun on your hands over the long haul. Use the lotion. I keep watching, and you keep knocking me out...the turn signals in the rear view mirror...jeez... I wonder if you guys would like some app solely designed to make your interface more retro, like the various steampunk desktops one used to be able to throw on their system 7 Macs....

Just love your products, wish I could afford them! Alcantara seems delicate for this style vehicle, and gas filler in the bed seems counter to the simple and functional theme (because cargo would cover it and drips stain the pretty wood). Just 2 cents!

I appreciate the "Zen and the Art..." approach here - inspiring with its more literary approach. It's got me thinking in a more detailed fashion about my own (lower budget) vehicle projects. The final outcome or 'blend' here seems like a spiritual endeavor, in a way. I'd be curious to know what Icon would do with my stock, unrestored '76 Vega GT Kammback Nomad.

I would trade my "58 Chevy pickup for this one in a heartbeat even though it's been in my family since it was new. Keep up the great work. As far as I am concerned you are one of only two people I would have build my ride if I could afford it and the other guy is Chip Foose. So yeah, in my opinion you'r work is that good. I think you might even be better than Chip Foose too. But I shudder to think what you two would produce if you worked together on a project.

Which Alpine unit is this? I'd love to hear what you find about any others you try. On my '56 Chevy I'm just doing a dirt simple amp with no head unit. So just using the iPhone for all playback and control. You have to have the iPhone visible, but it's better than having a completely extraneous extra piece of hardware.
