I was on Freedom OTS in September 2023 & my MDR head waiter, Jin Ting from China, was the BEST. After getting to know her every night she told she was picked to be on Icon & I told her, "that's because you are a great head waiter & you take care of your guests. She really is GREAT & I'm sure those on Icon got to see her shine.

I enjoy watching cruise reviews (planning for 2025), but a lot of the Icon reviews on YT have been really annoying: too complainy, too biased, too smug ("I'm on Icon of the Seas, and you're not!"), or way too long. The hideaway looks awesome, but my fair skin won't like it. I see some Virgin Voyages inspiration there with the food hall. We went to a dueling piano bar for our first date so that would be awesome. The ship looks great, but I'm only worried about the crowds. I think we would go if some nieces and nephews asked us. Appreciate your videos!

Thanks for watching! Definitely could only do the hideaway in small amounts because of the sun! But never fetch like the ship was crowded! So I wouldn’t worry about that!

I love your videos and can't wait to binge-watch! I'm just asking for your opinion. I'm in an Oceanview on Deck 4 in the front of the ship because I noticed that all double cabins are on Deck 4 in the front, so I didn't have a choice. It's another $ 270 to go to the Surfside balcony, but I'm worried about the noise. There is a cabin on deck 9 the first cabin on surfside. I can also do an oceanview balcony. It's about another $ 480 from the oceanview, but it's on deck 14. My mom has vertigo so motion is an issue. Being a travel agent, do you have an option as the best option? Thank you in advance!

Thank you for watching! On a cruise, it’s best to stay on a lower deck, midship, where you’re supposed to feel less movement. The higher and more forward/aft you go, the more you could potentially feel it. Based on what you noted, the Surfside cabin might be best since it’s not ALL the way at the back and is a middle deck, however, we can’t speak to the noise that cabin has. Are there any other cabins you’re considering? Hope this helps!

Why do people have to title their content with "honest review". Like are your other reviews dishonest lol?

It’s not that THEIR other reviews are dishonest. It’s that OTHER reviews from people who were given free promotional cruises from Royal Caribbean might not be totally honest. (The thought being that they want to remain in Royal Caribbeans good graces for future freebies so they won’t say anything too negative)

It’s exactly what the other comment noted! Some reviews might not be totally unbiased if the person or people giving the review were compensated by the brand. We paid full price for our sailing so are able to look at our experiences through the lens of true paying guests and determine value of what we paid.

Many of the media folks that did get comp'ed the 3 day preview also then went on a fully paid 7 day and did the review from that as well. Assuming folks cannot be objective does a disservice to us all. We all just want accurate info.
