With beholders, there are three forms that are like the mainline beholder. Which are the gazer, the spectator, and the beholder. The gazer is usually a mage's familiar, the spectator usually guards treasure of some kind, and the beholder is usually independent working to benefit themself. The gazer and spectator are usually magical creations made by mages.

as a fan of all things far realm you have me in love with the ceremite and orblink lines (not gonna lie i was expecting the elderbrain as a 3rd stage for ceremite but i'm not upset we didn't get that) but i also must say the fact that the illithid hates magic and is dark is peak, and the beholderkin is addicted to the power of magic and is poison works great too you are hitting all the marks for my brainy boys keep up the great work! Also you should make a branching path for the goblin, nilbog is the ghost of one of the original goblin gods killed by malgubliyet and posessing the old followers and making them more "fun and happy" ultimately trying to return them to the feywild just if you wanted another pokemon idea making a fairy ghost evolution for your normal dark goblin

Oh that’s could be a fun gobbo!! For the elder brain I do plan on eventually adding some megas into the game so brain boy will be there in spirit. And ty so much for your kind words!! I really like these fellas.

The rt 1 bird is an axebeak I’ll show off in a week or two. But the Owlbear is 100% in the next batch I have made.

So later on..... Will there be Eeveelutions based of Attribute-like Types in Bugsnax? Cause the wackiest themed after Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball 2 might have creative examples what we thought of. Such as....... Tentaceon is Meaty Type that is based on edible cephalopods (Mostly Octopuses) Reapeon is Spicy Type that is based of Carolina Reapers and stereotypical Grim Reapers Gummeon is Sticky Type that is based of Bubble Gum and Gummy Treats Energeon is Aggressive Type that is based of sugar and caffeine drinks Creepeon is Burrowing Type that is based of a Worms in Dirt dessert Mirroreon is Evasive Type that is based of Clear Pies and sometimes Mirrors Floateon is Flying Type that is based of Lemonade Floats and Ice Cream Floats (DUH!) Spikeon is Fruity Type that is based of Dragon Fruit (also known as Pitaya) Hardeon is Green Type that is based of Durian Vampeon is Red Type that is based of Red Velvet and stereotypical Vampires Bananeon is Breakable Type that is based of Bananas, Monkey Bread, and a Primate Cookieon is Frosty Type that is based of Frozen Oreo Pie Ringeon is Sweet Type that is based of Cinnamon Baked Apples (with either Ice Cream and/or Yogurt)

So I have Eevee types for every class, and type. But I’m trying to avoid regionals just because if I make these actual homebrew monsters I can’t have real pokemon in there. Cool ideas tho!!

@@theuncommonsoap Thanks for the last part. As for the rest, I'm pretty sure you didn't know it's a reference to Delicious in Dungeon. Especially when they're times where monsters in dungeons are edible. Such as Crab-Like Mimics and Freezing Ghosts that produced Ice Cream (only with Special Interfaith Holy Water that is made of regular ingredients, Slime liver, and Treasure Insect jam).

I’m between normal/ghost (I know it isn’t necessarily on brand but as a pokemon I feel like it helps lean into the feywild connection and projections. Just straight dark Or straight psychic.

Gobsneak would absolutely be on my team (despite its weakness to Fighting types)… I can imagine it’s ability being akin to Prankster or Contrary to really mess with the opposing creature’s attempts at debuffing or outspeeding, or heck even Emergency Exit to really mess with an opponent’s plans with an unexpected switch-out

Love these mons. Love the Beholders and Kobolds. For future mons, how about a Bladesinger Wizard or Swords Bard? Definitely should have a Silver Dragon and a Swashbuckler Rogue. I also said Owlbears and Minotaurs before. The minotaur could be a Fighter or Barbarian. Maybe Totem Warrior or Champion? Maybe even Battle Master.

Thanks! Ya Owlbear will be in the next batch I have made, so it’ll be a few weeks at least. Same with the Minotaur, I was going to take inspiration from Karlach and make it a fire, steel barbarian. Swashbuckler rogue I have an idea for a swordfish. But it still needs more work.

I’d like to suggest something like the elemental monkeys, but possibly some other animal or creature, and upon evolving they are each based off of one the martial classes which are fighter, barbarian, and monk. And of course when they evolve they gain fighting as a secondary type.

I was thinking of something like that for the four elements monks. But I think I’d be remiss if I didn’t make the sun soul monk a monkey.

I don't know if you can somehow do this, but I'd want to see one of my favorite subclasses and some sort of fey. A school of conjuration wizard fey could make a cute little fairy type. Depends on which fey gets combined with it. Could just be a generic pixie, or something wild like a satyr. But looking forward to the rest of this series.

Ya that’s more or less my plan with a lot of them. I was thinking of doing a pixie Pokémon based off of Eladrin seasonal forms. But anything is possible!

Please use like a dice roll mechanic! Maybe something like a multi hit move that is weak but has a secondary effect based on the amount of hits that land :)

Do be careful with you mind flayer mons, they'll be compared often to the malimar line I'd imagine, still fun though, was curious when we'd see ilithids X I know the grass starter was kinda based on them, but I'd love another owlbear mon X Also idk exactly how you'd do it, but I think a wild magic sorcerer is begging for a Pokémon design of some sort, they're so iconic x

Ya Owlbear will be in the next batch I get made. So probably 3-4 weeks for a video. My original idea for wild magic was a normal type eeveelution but I’ve decided not to do regionals incase ppl actually like the homebrew. So I think some kind of fusion of a bunch of the funny rolls could be good.

I think magobliyet should be fighting dark instead of normal dark, dude looks like a scrappy street fighter. Plus it makes it's 1st stage fight to evolve
