Ashton Stansel what's especially impressive is that Ceb hasn't played too well mechanically. There were a lot of mistakes and missed opportunities. But mistakes were minor and critically important opportunities were not missed. His impact on the games comes almost entirely from positioning and timing. That sort of understanding of the game is incredible. Like his Axe game. The way he TPed on different lanes after deliberately showing up on enemy vision on another side of the map. How he kept out of sight the moment he got blink and basically never showed up on vision after that. And that's including enemy wards. There were a lot of players on TI that had better hero controlling skills, but I don't think there were players with a better awareness of the game than he had.

9:45 is just 100% accurate. I'm just so happy that notail is now with a team that shares the same principle as him. Whenever OG is asked why they play dota, they always answer the same thing and that's “because they enjoy the game” and not because of the money. I think that's why they're the first team to ever won 2 TI and back to back i might add. They're just a couple of nerdy guys who enjoys a good dota. I don't really understand why would someone say "OG should be thankful that Fly and S4 left. Both teams became better". Really? As if OG never worked hard to be better? OG even missed the Super Major because of it while EG was able to compete. Should they be thankful for a wasted opportunity? You can't say that it doesn't matter because they don't even have a chance there back then. In fact, OG ranked 18th out of 18 teams in TI8 but went on to win the tournament. You should know that one of the reasons why OG won is that they now have a Captain that leads way better, faces the problems and never quits on the team to be on a "better" place. Leaving a Sinking Ship is the last thing a Captain would do. Congratulations OG!

Even without winning TI, OG was always a top team until TI7 and always performed well especially on Majors. Reason why OG fell off from being top team into an average team during DPC period was mostly because Ana took break from Dota. @@daviddaritan well they put reso where he doesnt belong which are midlane where he really belong is a pos 1 Well about ana i think he become carry is more impact now than when he is a midlaner
@daviddaritan6 жыл бұрын
qais zhafran Reyhan well even when Ana mostly played in mid he is the position 1 of OG. Same role for Reso, if OG drafted a true hard carry Reso would play it. It's just Reso never had the experience of carrying a team that creates space for him so he couldn't do it alone. Reso thrives when the late game responsibility is shared with two cores, like how he shared with yawar and w33.

In France, after soccer worldcup 1998, we had a movie called "les yeux dans les bleus" following french team. All soccer fans in France know main baselines and still drop a tear when watching it. True sight is the esport version of 'les yeux dans les bleus". I'm pretty confident all french soccer fans would had same pleasure watching a movie of 98's team viewing their run, that i had watching this ICONIC Esports Moment. #goosebumps

Give them a lead, and they throw. But give them a throw, and they lead. Securing laning stage was always a fundamental principle of Dota 2, and OG was not the best in terms of laning. But, when they looked bad, somehow they manage to snag a win or two on some of these game-changing fights, without a lead on gold, levels and items, something which was virtually impossible and unrealistic. Call it luck, coincidence, timing. If that won't win TI, then I'm not sure what will.
@michaeldavid15666 жыл бұрын
Screw lane dominance meta it's comeback meta now

tactical buybacks, man. OG are just too good in utilizing it.
@worldkat13936 жыл бұрын
Actually its been thoroughly analysed already, OG drafted to only play the super late game and understood buybacks better then any team out there. They effectively won through buyback understanding where they never saw fights as 5 v 5 but %+ v 5. Also why buybacks were nerfed immediately as they won TI lol. People focused on meta and the perceived impossibility of winning if laning failed as the meta dictated. Ceb and Notail saw it differently.

LGD was worn out by OGs pace. OG play pub style to accommodate Topson perhaps. They haven't trained for a long time and all Topson can do is pub style. I saw Topson's dota plus heroes and the highest tiers are Arc Warden, Invoker, Zeus and Pugna. He spammed it soooo many times. Have you noticed LGD picked the pub heroes (BS, Morphling) in game 4? They want to parallel OG's pace. It worked for them for quite some time but OG managed to outplay them. I don't think it is all luck.
@rambo324046 жыл бұрын
@@justinemaegermano8514 LGD underestimate OG because well they dont really shine this year and their new roster just a Coach become a player, Carry turned to support, a guy who just play dota back and a pub star that arent really that popular... LGD only has eyes for Liquid, VP, and EG... Thank goodness OG really hit them hard enough to make them fall...

As i watched game 5, i wasnt even worried of LGD's dominant early game, it was weird but it felt like i was waiting for something big in OG that game.
