ICS CXP MARS Komodo SSS / DMR Conversion - Hop-Up & Barrel Upgrades

Great write up. I did the exact same hopup modification to my ICS MARS DMR and although initially the results were promising, the accuracy and fps became very inconsistent. I ended up going back to the stock hop up unit, using an Orga LEX05 barrel, Prometheus purple and Orga Dimension flat hop nub. The results from this combination are incredible and I am able to almost match the effective range of a Novritsch sniper on our team!

I am not sure if you can reach 80meters with DMR, you get to those levels only with snipers where your J limits are way higher 😊

Hey that's a nice series of vids you've done here. I'm debating building one of these myself. What would you say the effective range is of your modified gun? What fps is it running at with .20? Will the electronic trigger allow it to only shoot in semi only, as a dmr in the UK required this. Many thanks richie.

Nice videos, I have the same aeg, and I went with laylax 407mm as well with laylax purple bucking, never tried other combination, I’m also getting the maxx chamber with 20.25mm nozzle as well, wanted to ask you about your other barrel experience as well, how do you compare the Laylax with current barrel ? And bucking as well? Thanks

my experience so far: if the high end barrels are not bent, they perform almost the same. for me the combination of the barrel opening, bucking and the nub fitting there is the most important one. this configuration gave me the best result so far.

@@GaijinAirsoft awesome thanks for your reply, since i don't have the luxury of trying them all out, i'll use my current set up (laylax 407 + purple bucking + maxx hopup chamber for the moment, in the future, when the hop up worn out, is there any bucking recommendation pairing with the laylax barrel and maxx chamber ? and i'm not sure have you tried this or not, i bought both maxx chamber and nozzle but not the Cylinder Head, would you say that the maxx Cylinder Head is a huge upgrade? thanks in advance

@@coolmantle maxx cylinder head has 2 advantages. 1- very nice fit with the nozzle since they are made from the same company and 2 very good airseal due to double O-ring. it is a good upgrade that might increase your air seal, meaning consistency, but if you already have a good seal, then you do not have to =)

Hi, i didnt make a test video since i ve been using that rifle since 1 year in every game. accuracy is pretty good and effective range was around 55 - 60 meters if i remember correctly (haven't measured since a while). i am waiting some new upgrade parts from Maxx for the chamber and with them, i am planning to make some testing and record it. hopefully soon 😊

I tried a lot of buckings, the best results i achieved was with the flat bucking set from Modify. I think I have the link in the description =)

Hey man, did you hide the extra mm of the new barrel in the suppressor?

if you use a barrel extender. it will not even reach to the supresser. if you do not use a barrel extender, it stops within the flash hider.

i think it does but i would recommend to check further upgrades on youtube to see if anyone tried it so far

i am not sure, normally pdw models have a bit tighter body but you might want to check some forums to see if other players are using it or not 😊

Modify version ones (non reinforced ) were made to blow up, the reinforced stuff Is good but otherwise garbage
