I take great comfort hearing this. I just quit a game of padel after 20 minutes because I felt the “pre flare” tightness in my left thigh for the first time in months. And didn’t want to continue and probably hurt myself. Hopefully it’s not serious and even if it’s I know I can deal with it.

I wish he or someone could resolve or understand the pain of trigeminal neuralgia that it’s been called « the suicide syndrome « I had 2 gamma knife radiation operation in 10 years , 1 last 6 years the other one 4 years. It’s started again and so fare Accuponcture is a good help , since I am waiting for a appointment with a neurologist to discuss the next step , mean talking a more serious operation , like go true the scalp and put a Teflon piece in between two nerves . Great job and thank you Peter for all good informations you provide to us .

I find it sooo very odd that so many doctors seem to have no clue when it comes to body mechanics and pain. I injured my tailbone 7years ago and developed back pains ever since. Doctors have denied me telling me the injury is not the cause of my pain and further misalignment, and that it's not something they treat. Very frustrating and depressing. I can understand the patient who wanted to take his own life, what's the use of living if incapacitated and in pain.

How about a T4 paraplegic who has excruciating lumbar pain with scoliosis. MRI shows L4/L5/S1 circumferential disc bulges and right side nerve issues. Numbness bilateral in pelvis, glutes and legs to feet. Sitting brings on more numbness and pain even though I am T4 paraplegic. No practitioner ever takes time to touch me or ask mechanic of the pain I live with 24/7. 😢

If someone as intelligent as Peter Attia buys into this purely biomechanical model of people’s pain, then there’s no hope for the world.

Wut? Psychosomatic pain exists, yes, but back pain is almost always caused by something biomechanical. The hell are you even trying to say?
