The movie doesn't need to be made! (Leon did a great job on the made for TV movie back in the day though). Ok.. lemme explain.. Billy kept being rejected for being too feminine even for gay roles. Black feminine gay men are treated horribly in Hollywood. He went to the same school as academy award winner Holly Hunter. He ain't no chump.
