You can backdash to escape the grab.

Can you really? I've seen this on other combo videos too with Coco where it counts as a combo. I tested jumping and reversals as dummy options and it seems like it's a true combo, would be weird if backdash beats it but stuff like shopping cart doesn't since it doesn't even activate. Dragon super is normally only 18 hits.

Hey so I wanted to genuinely get back to you with some lab data! I had recorded a dummy mashing backdash in the corner, jump, and reversal options. When getting the 1f link right timing, the super even beats the backdash! I was able to perform it multiple times (not in a row, but within 20 or so tries) on the backdash mashing dummy. It also beats jump in the same way and reversals, since it's a "combo" and gets combo scaling. Effectively grabbing the opponent on the last from of hitstun from certain moves makes it true combo.
