Doing a lovely job with the prep work, you're most of the way to the finish.... of the paintwork anyway. It's great lo see these old relics getting so much TLC. I hope to see them stay on the road for a long time

The patience to do this kind of work is incredible, certainly not for everyone and why it's so expensive.

I had an Austin A55 MkII Cambridge in Grampian Grey, I didn't like it at first but it soon grew on me. I sold it to a friend about 15 years ago & he's still got it.

I have got to get back to work on " Rosie " my Minor, I went through a patch when I couldn't get myself going on it, but hopefully work will resume again now, May I say how good you are looking Steph, well-done girl.

Another great video Steph, great to see Kevin always impressed with his enthusiasm and knowledge. Also great to see how the classic car community helps each other out. Definitely a labour of love but is going to give so much pleasure once finished

Hello Steph, how good to see you and Kev once again in the garage. So enjoyable! Life has been challenging for you recently (as you have explained) and it is "getting through those days" at your own pace which really matters!! Best wishes from Lincolnshire.

Good to see both you and Kevin making good progress on your cars - I like the look of the badges on the back of the MGC - will truly stand out on the road or at a show highlighting the uniqueness and rarity of the car.

Fabulous finish. That looks very professional. You have a gift for bodywork prep and colour application. I can see now why the prep takes the time it does.

Very well done this one. The big takeaway for me is that life indeed along with unforeseen circumstances can result in priority changes. For 'off job' or personal time projects with fewer people involved it's sometimes better to have 'target' dates for milestones or activities rather than the dreaded deadlines. Things happen and we all have unplanned events that need dealing with. As you mention a deadline may be achievable but at a cost in budget or quality and often both. Requiring rework and even greater cost. Many thanks for sharing.

Great video. Bodywork is so time consuming. It takes as long as it takes unfortunately. Over on my channel I've been stripping my b gt to bare metal as it has had several paint jobs in the past and it was peeling off in several places not to mention the engine bay being painted in hamerite which I've just finished stripping and painting. 👍👍

Despite life's trials Kev and yourself have done well to get this MG to this stage. She will look good in grey I am sure and BTW I think there are more than three shades of 'British Racing Green'. It's a nice colour but you can find a good number of cars in that colour (BRG) so Kev I think you have chosen well and yes the red seats will go well with the grey. What a bonus in finding that template Kev as you say it would have been a nightmare to drill all those holes without it. Just a suggestion Kev; yes clean out the garage but why not put some clear sheeting around all the shelves and bench when spraying? Thank you Steph for this update, much appreciated. 👍👍

Might be an idea for Kev to slow down. There are no prizes for hurrying on this- whenever the pressure is on try going in the opposite direction 'cos the quality of final finish & your satisfaction with it are the only important factors here.

@@kevinhirst4108Hi Kev love your vids with Steph , I supply Studbolts to the North Sea Oil Industry which are mostly zinc plated or HDG ( Hot Dipped Galvanised ) or PTFE coated , no cadmium has been used for years, plating using this method used cyanide which is highly toxic this is one of the reasons for banning this method .

I was worried when Cadmium was mentioned, hopefully it was some other plating.
