It will only cause more divisiveness and anger. I believe the solution would be to inact total complete and utter equality . No race gets any certain perks, scholarships, jobs , grades. And if they do then other races are allowed the sane thing. If some schools are for only blacks then there should be an only whites. It should be all or norhing. No words are entitled to certain races. Nothing. It needs to be all equal. Complete fairness. If a book is taught in schools that all whites are racist then a book needs to ne taught in schools that blacks hispanocs chinese. Are racist as well. Writing that sounded ridiculous thats because it is. No book should be saying that about a race of people especially taught to children. Thats just sick.

One of the problems is the destruction of our heritage and culture - especially in the "melting pot" of the US. People have been led to believe they are "black" or "white" or "brown". So when "they" try to push "white guilt" it has no impact on me because I do not claim to be "white". I am a proud "Celt" (92+%) with a bit of Norse and Deutsch mixed in. People who learn of their heritage should not allow themselves to be placed in a "box". 😀

@@hughmac13 James Lindsay has laid out his case in detail in his book of the same name. Essentially, and simply, he traces the structure of marx's theory of social relations via material bourgeoisie private property - capital in all but name. Those that do not have access or are excluded from having private property or capital are the proletariat or underclass and those with access and with capital are the bourgeoisie or over class. The bourgeoisie have constructed a series of myths and rationales to perpetuate that state of affairs and justify why they have property/captial and others don't. That ideology is called capitalism. Marxian critical race theorist Cheryl Harris coined the concept of 'whiteness as property' in 1993. Thus the link between the marxian concept of property and identity. Whiteness is the property and people who are white, for act white or are white adjacent are the racial bourgeoisie. Whites have constructed an ideology that justifies and grants access to societies benefits for those who have 'whiteness' and excludes all others - the racial underclass or POC.
@hughmac132 жыл бұрын
@@michaelstanwick9690 I'm aware of what Lindsay has done. It's important to note that while one could posit the existence of an _ideology_ of capitalism, capitalism as an epochal mode of economic production and social relations is the far more important concept of that word. I'm honestly terrified about the future, notably because of critical race theory and gender ideology. But primarily, I'm scared because of the rampant oversimplification of thought and language we see left and right. An example: on social media, we see the term "unalive" get used more and more to mean "kill" or "suicide". I'm French Canadian, and English is not my first language, but when I saw that term for the first time, I immediately remembered the Newspeak (Novlangue in French) from the book 1984. In that fictional language, the prefix "un-" is used to express negation, so to say a man is "bad", you would instead say he is "ungood". And to tell someone has been killed, you would probably say they've been "unalived" -- which is precisely the case in our reality. The primary purpose of Newspeak is to make all thoughts against the central ideology "unthinkable", since people don't have the right words to go against said ideology. With the list of terms and words we can't use as "good, politically correct citizens" getting longer and longer, we're falling slowly, but surely, towards a fully authoritarian type of society.
@Goethite_A2 жыл бұрын
This is in part at least driven by the censorious nature of social media and commentary site algorithms. For instance some sites may block posys containing the use of the word "suicide" thus people may use terms such as auto-deletion or made up and misspelt words "mekill" "sooeyeside" to dodge the machine
@notthatnick55462 жыл бұрын
@@Goethite_A That's a fascinating point; thank you! But in those cases, it means that the Newspeak from 1984 is, in our reality, more of an "Algospeak" used because an algorithm won't let us use the actual words. That is just as scary, if not more, because it means such systems are already very well implemented and used.

Because this new religion is contagious for anyone who shares a distant cultural heritage that is puritanical-protestant. Someone needs to do it. The exact arguments so-called TERFs give about trans-women appropriating womenhood are the same arguments non-white people give as to why being transracial is wrong. If gender and race are only social constructs (with race I believe this is wholly the case but with gender there are definitely complicated interactions between biological imperatives and social constructs arising from these imperatives) then race can be “played” with in the exact same way that gender can. But these people won’t acknowledge this overt contradiction in their ideology. They will admit they believe race and gender are wholly and completely social constructs that are arbitrarily made up but only one of these two categories is malleable enough to be assumed by someone born outside the arbitrary social designations. @@marieparker3822 Nope, she was fired for saying trans women are predators, and that “preferred pronouns” are like sedative drugs that trans women use to “sedate” women and make women less alert and let their guards down so that the trans women can rape them. You can look this up yourself, Maya Forstater literally has a tweet out there saying that “Preferred pronouns are like Rohypnol” in which she details exactly how trans women seek to rape women, and that’s the only reason for their being trans. I don’t need to convince you of the facts, you can look that up yourself. You people love to say “wow firing someone simply for stating that ‘sex is real’, that’s an attack on free speech” but that’s not all she said though, is it? You’re creating a euphemism for her so you can try and defend her dehumanization of an entire group as though that’s a good thing to do. Gross.

It is called that by fascists. Cultural marxism is a term from fascists, cultural bolshevism to be precise. CRT isn't analogous to marxism at all, it comes from post-colonial theory and postmodernism, and it is very capitalist. The CRT types want some specific quota of genders and races in every boardroom, wokeness is as corporate as it gets. Marxism was/is diverse, including very different political proposals, CRT is not. Marxism doesn't endorse equality, at all, CRT does. Marxism wants to make a more democratic order with more free speech, liberties, and so on, CRT opposes that even as a goal. Marxism wants the proletariat to act to stop existing as a class, CRT does not want black people to stop existing. Marxism considers capitalism the best system so far in history, but thinks it can do better -CRT does not think whiteness is good at all.

It isn't a competition. One person's trauma is another's walk in the park. There is no "real" event, as you put it. I'm sure that someone could say that they've been through worse than you, that you haven't had a "real" trauma. Does that negate your claim that you have PTSD? Your logic would assume that no one could experience PTSD unless they'd been in the Battle of Agincourt. Your view is self-centered.
@niksgee35382 жыл бұрын
No. Ptsd happens when you are so terrified you think you will die. You fear for your life. When your brain is processing something so fearful that to cope it goes to auto ptsd brain. Some people stay locked in the world of ptsd and never come back out. Each time the brain registers similar pattern it either replays old trauma (former trauma dominant) or the two time frames combine leaving the person confused. The brain takes over to protect the person. Warning warning. Its horrific, frightening to go through and many sufferers take attempts on their lives as living with it over and over is horrendous. People with it because it is so bad people avoid what triggers them (if it happened in a university they could avoid the university to stay safe) I could go on.... It isn't hurt feelings.

I want to share something that happened to me, I had got attacked by an african man, (waiting for a bus to go home one evening). had a witness, which near enough really helped.. in local hospital, I was recovering. next day, an african man came & sat in my room, he wd not go despite me asking him to. My family member rang for him to be removed, explaing what had happened! as u can imagine, that was quite of concern for me & I cd not relax in my small room! (he had some forms with him). anyway, I did not obviously disclose what had happened to me. anyway, I got unlawfully ... even though no one got to know me or what had happened! the worst part is this.. usually I wd rather speak to an english person who can understand me rather than someone who can't (I should say, I am british born). anyway, in this case, by this english lady, she wrote up about me (behind my back, saying 'I was married', when I never have been, & calling me a name from my skin colour. I was most shocked when I got home to receive this letter written on nhs paper. I had never been called that before, & it wasn't the usual 4 letter word that u can get called at in school. She didn't even bother to find out these things, she just wrote up about me with one put down after another, really running me down! I've always been respected usually, but this is one of the worst experiences & just left me ....! She also mentioned a family member had made not a nice comment about my clothes! When she said that in the letter (without ever having disclosed that to me when she saw me), I realised she was making things up as she went along. It wasn't even consistent with what happened to me & she really showed herself up but fabricating such a story up like that. & my family never say such nonsense like that about me, but on the contrary, so I realised she did not even know what had happened & had acted rashly & irresponsibly.
