For those concerned, no Rudnik does not live alone. He has 3 other horses there too I just don’t make it a habit to show other peoples horses in our videos. Yes his paddock is bare - it’s a winter paddock in the middle of winter…That’s why he gets hay I don’t mind general curiosity but to those outright accusing me of starving my horse because he’s not in a lush green field - you’ve clearly never been to Canada in the winter time… Also - I was not ignoring the dog. People acting like I’m being full out abusive for not petting the dog - you realize that you see a mere few seconds of what was over 2 hours spent at the farm? If the biggest take away you have from our videos is that you didn’t see me physically kneel down and pet the dog - maybe just keep scrolling. Our page isn’t for you. When I have people getting genuinely p*ssed at me for not running out to see Rudnik as soon as I was released from the hospital - you’ve clearly never pushed a 9.3lb child from your body if you think I’m even close to being recovered enough to run out to the barn first thing… Again I don’t mind general curiosity or having people ask questions but some of y’all way too comfortable just throwing insults and accusations at people when you have no idea what you’re even talking about. So to those who comment just for the sake of commenting negativity - please feel free to keep scrolling or you will just be added to the ever growing block list. It’s not hard to stay silent if you have nothing nice to say. The internet has turned ‘well you post your life online so you’re opening yourself up to criticism’ into the new ‘the customer is always right’ - doesn’t mean it gives you an excuse to be nasty just because you feel you’re entitled to your opinions.

I am a September 11 first responder with multiple cancers now. My cat was the first one to find my cancers, both breast and liver, and kidneys and lungs! I was passing all my tests. Nothing in my mammograms. Everything was fine. Yet every night my cat Would sniff me in these areas, touch it with his paw and cry. Then he would lay his neck down over the area where his hand was, and start purring! He did this on every area. We ended up finding cancer. He would not leave my side. He followed me everywhere I went that I had just put them on a harness and a leash to be able to leave the house if you would try to get out to come with me. Not sure if he was trying to heal me with his purring, but he did his best job to try. About a month of this made me realize that he was right in the x-rays and the CAT scans were wrong, including the blood test that were coming out fine. In the end, we found it all. If it weren’t for my cat, I might not have fought as hard as I did to get to a doctor that we find what was wrong. Sadly, he passed at the age of 20 almost 2 years now. so if your dog or your cat or any animal looks like they’re trying to tell you something?… it’s because they are trying to tell you so pay attention.😊

I saw it at the time Rudnik knew the baby was coming soon. He probably sensed something was happening. My daughter-in-law had preeclampsia and almost bleed to death in the hospital. She was already there threatening to have our granddaughter way too early. Thank God for the excellent care they both received! Both are healthy and our granddaughter, although a preemie, at 2 1/2, is starting to catch up. Congratulations to the whole family. Rudnik will be so happy to meet his new buddy. 💜

Just before discharge, after 63 days in NICU, a doctor said to us, “An experience like this will most likely have lifelong affects”. It can be true, it’s okay and with honesty and support it can be better than just okay. I wish you all the best. Don’t ignore the need for emotional healing.

@@valeriehart4634 that will be funny. I used to push my baby out in his pram when I had to feed the horses. Even the meanest ornery one could not resist the baby. And were all so gentle sniffling him. Not one horse ever had a delinquent moment with my little boy, not ever my young stallion. But that is not what you should do I must have been brain dead to feed horses with my baby in a pram. I have a photo of my 6 month old baby sitting bareback holding the reins on my 16hh mare. Honestly I don’t even believe I did that if it wasn’t for the photo. I was a very bAd mother I think. But hey he’s 40 now and he is kind to animals and old ladies doesn’t steal or drink or do drugs so I can’t have been that bad.

I thought too, like you, that he was happy to see you and thought his excitement and long sad goodbye(I cried with you), was sensing birth., But that big and beautiful, soulful Rudnick, truly knew what was happening with his best friend and trying to alert you that something didn't feel right. Truly, women and horses both have the same Superpower, it's that 'gut feeling'. I'm so glad you listened to yours and kept voicing it! I'm sorry your birth experience wasn't the one we all dream of, but It is a real blessing having such an attentive and involved, loving partner as you have found in each other. My first child, 45 years ago, was also long and scary over 3 days, and I too eventually delivered a modest 9lb 4oz healthy baby girl, thankfully. I did have 2 more, and although large babies too, they were born within 8 hours from the first contraction. Your new babes is just beautiful and he looks like a 2 month old(lol), and Papa looks so nurturing with him and so proud. Rudnik has been acting a little anxious since his move, but I don’t think it was the move, it was what he sensed about your health. Horses and dogs are especially amazing at detecting things that are not always apparent. I think he could sense a difference in your heart rate and your pheromones. When women are pregnant the hormonal changes cause different chemicals to be excreted by the skin and with eclampsia he would react to those chemicals that your body was excreting. He knew something wasn’t quite right and he was telling you in his own way. I’m so glad that delivery went fairly well eventually. I’m a little surprised that they didn’t do a c-section. Anyway you and baby came through ok and I’m so happy. Congratulations 🎉 I’m so looking forward to seeing Rudniks reaction to meeting his little human. That’s going to be a precious moment. Watching them develop their friendship is going to be even more precious. You have a beautiful family doggos and rudnik included. Sending much love from Calgary ❤️🥰

I had an epidural birth on my first daughter and they had to give me two epidurals because at the first attempt, it didn't take. Wow, pain free Labour, but on my second daughter the Labour was so quick that they didn't have time - so very little pain relief... Ouch!🤷🏼‍♀️ You have the most amazingly beautiful little boy, it makes it all so worthwhile! Rudnik is an intelligent horse guy (I think he has probably "been here before?"). I'm realizing, as I'm watching your testimony, that I, having had a very similar experience, may have a little PTSD to work through from my labor &delivery 8 months ago. I've been so pre-occupied w/being a new mom, making sure baby's okay, &making sure I'm watching for signs of PPD in myself. I guess I haven't really spent much time thinking about that day since it happened. I am finding it surprisingly difficult to though, now that I'm actually trying. The litany of emotions that arise are overwhelming. Thank you for telling your story. It's cathartic to listen to, something I didn't know I needed. So, thank you mama &may God bless you &yours! 🖤

Aw I’m so sorry! I completely understand where you’re coming from. It’s only been a couple of weeks for me but I honestly still can’t even look at pictures from the birth or even think about that day without feeling a pit in my stomach. It makes me sad because I want to be able to look back on that moment and see the photos and feel joy for the moment but seeing that moment frozen in time is just not something I’m ready to face yet. It’s too overwhelming. I hope you’re able to find peace with your own experience - and if you feel you need to talk to someone I’m always here ♥️ I know it can be difficult to get through it alone and not many will understand the grief that you’re experiencing after an experience like that.

Congratulations, and I agree, that on that last visit with Rudnik he sounded worried. Loved the video, especially the look on Big B's face when holding his son. @@AussieKool My Son was 9.6 too and was 21 inches long his head was nearly 18 inches and he was also in fetal distress, they had the OR ready when he finally got unstuck from the birth canal.. That was in 91 and to this day, I still remember how afraid the whole team was during it.

@@LadyEnyalus It sounds so scary, My son was not in position and they had to put their hand inside and move his in the right position That was worse than giving birth. (I reckon i had PTSD from that)

I agree that animals know things that we don’t. So glad all is well. Little B looks like a healthy strapping boy so make sure you take care of yourself. Don’t be afraid to tell people especially the doctors( not the one who sent you home) how you are feeling mentally. I would suggest you find a family doctor. Things will be crazy but you should try to see Rudnik soon because he will help you recover the quickest. You two are so bonded, he will help soothe your soul. Can’t wait to see the whole family together. He’s going to love Little B so much. ❤❤❤ prayers are going up.
