This is fairly accurate. It’s not as god awful and strict as your high school teachers make it sound and it’s not as wild and fun as the movies make it look. It’s just balance of quite a bit of studying and doing really casual adult stuff when you’re not studying 😂

@@knightenchanter7908 Doing pre-med is a choice that comes with a harsh GPA requirement lol. If you're just there for a bachelor's degree at a state school it's pretty fucking easy, even engineering or medicine-centric (but not premed-program) degrees. Any university you can get accepted into isn't going to be as hard to merely graduate from as high school teachers pretend, which they do just to scare you into paying attention in class.

They're not wrong. Leaving the college bubble you'll see that real life sucks in comparison. Jobs are repetitive and stressful, none of your peers are your age, your friends live too far away, alcohol and parties lose their charm, and adult goals require much more effort than college goals. What those graduated people really miss is the energy of their youth, and that unawareness of adult problems is bliss. One of my friends who got engaged and bought his first house, still says his freshman year of college was the best year of his life.

Unknown 1 College isn't as scary as most people think. It's way easier if you know what you want to do. A good piece of advice that I heard a lot but never saw anyone take is if you don't know what you want to do or aren't sure, spend a year in community college. This way you're not wasting money and then when you do know transfer to somewhere where you know they have a good program and can help you break into that field. Overall the people who have done this said it was a huge help in the long run

@@bucinator9879 the bechdel test tests a film's female representation. To pass the test there has to be at least two women, who have names, and talk to eachother about something other than a man. So if you're watching a comedy, and the female characters spend their entire screentime talking about the male characters, it doesn't pass the bechdel test. Films like The Lighthouse or The Shawshank Redemption obviously doesn't pass the bechdel test since there are no women featured at all. The bechdel test isn't taken very seriously. A film isn't bad if it doesn't pass it, and it isn't good just because it does pass it. Its mostly used to track how much female representation there is in the film industry as a whole, like in statistics.
