Bergkamp was seriously one of the best players ever to grace PL. His work went unnoticed or underappreciated because of Henry's performances but he truly was a magician. A very exciting player to watch, and his first touch was absolutely class. Remember the goal vs Newcastle, I remember being shocked for a while when a watched it. It still surprises how he did it, brilliant top top player

Like Hartson said.... “if he played in the snow, he wouldn’t leave any footprints behind” that’s how good Bergkamp was. For me i was fortunate to grow up watching players like: Shearer, ferdinand, sheringham, wright, henry, fowler, zola, saurez, torres, drogba, etc... but, my man Bergkamp was just on a another planet during his time. His touches, goals, techniques, thinking and moving abilities were out of this world. He was always one step ahead of his movement. Absolute genius. It was just a shame Bergkamp couldn’t travel most european games. Otherwise that invincible squad we had could of conquered Europe easily.

My favorite strikers ever: 1. Ronaldo (The Brazilian) 2. Ibrahimovic 3. Bergkamp Ronaldo's skill was insane. He was the most all round and amazing striker before his injury. Even after his knee injury he was still top class though. Speed, skill and beautiful goals. Ibrahimovic is such a damn skillful striker for such a tall guy. He could rip defenses open with skill, or fall back and hold the ball and he had tremendous skill in the penalty box as well. He scored so many beauties. His skill, his power and personality made him a joy to watch. Bergkamp was all skill. Just amazing. He really floated over the pitch. Tremendous ball control and vision. Favorite PL strikers: Suarez, Henry and Shearer.

If Kyogo from Celtic stays fit he’ll become a legend of a striker. His movement is the best we’ve had since Larson and his finishing is brilliant too. He’s also got amazing vision. If he steers clear if injury we’ll find it very hard to keep hold of him past a season n or two. Big teams will be all over him.

They were different types of strikers, but i think all round suarez offers more than the rest (shearer, larsson, bergkamp etc), with goal scoring, pace, dribbling and work rate/ teamwork, though he did have famously bad attributes too, larsson and shearer were incredible goal scorers and bergkamp had the most technique and vision to see the game (it really was the beautiful game with bergkamp).

The whole point of being a striker is to strike. Scoring goals is the defining act of a striker. No one scored more goals than Shearer. There’s no debate. He’s the best striker ever in the PL. Don’t confuse speed, skill or even winning with this. Shearer wasn’t fastest, most skilful or even the most successful. But as a striker, no one has ever come close to him. Some of the comments here...it’s laughable really.
