Agreed man. Honestly I dint like tim electric with the band. Hes too much. Ends up.taking way from the band . Acoustic tho I love Tim. I'll take butch back on keys please

@K V I agree, I meant stylistically, I feel like 1993-1998 he played along with the band and did careful fills, now he does like meaty riffs and effects over the band--its like his awareness is gone or he doesn't care.

@K V True, but on Ants we don't need him to be wanwanwan in the intro, he makes a lot of classic stuff feel crowded, I think Buddy holds him off a bit.

Without a doubt this is a great song, but I think the version from 2007 West Palm Beach that morphs into Simply Red’s Holding On is much better than this version. A little Joe Lawlor occasionally is fine, the issue with either Timmy or Joe is this is a fusion jazz band at its core and big electric guitar riffs detract from that. Buddy Strong has come into his own, I loved Butch Taylor but Buddy has definitely been a great addition to this band. Would love to see a violin return and Jeff Coffin is a great replacement for Leroi Moore. Without Jeff or Leroi this band would have never been as great as it truly is. Try listening to all the great Lying in the Hands of God versions with Jeff and Buddy and then imagine the jazz riff styling they could apply to this song. Check out West Palm Beach 2007 concert at about 1hr 19 minute mark for a 10 minute version of this song and you will see what I mean. It’s truly amazing when this band is hitting on all cylinders and Carter is setting a back beat to die for.😊
