Gonna say it: I don't trust Zad. Dude claims to be keeping Evangeline's soul for her 'protection', but was way too quick to agree to trade it for Dad's soul, which makes me think that either Evangeline's soul doesn't actually need protecting, or Zad doesn't care as much as they say about protecting her. (Dad should definitely consider telling her about that incident btw.) Good news is though, if Evangeline traded her soul because she was told it needed protecting, and that turns out to be a lie, then I feel like that's not fulfilling the terms of the contract? So maybe it'll be enough for Lawyer Mom to get it voided.

I feel like Thad was already a crossed line. He seems to kidnap children and has repeatedly tried to ensnare The Dad That Lived, which would also presumably result in his kidnapping.

For real. Chad, Brad, and Sad all seem to be pretty well meaning kids, Thad's got a few red flags involving attempted entrapment and changelings, but Zad is literally nothing but red flags. Luckily, the dad is getting along with Thad and Thadad now, and Fae are also good with bargains, and assuming Thad genuinely cares about Evangeline, he should want to get her out of a bad situation. Additionally, the dad is on good terms with two Greek gods of death and the underworld (Hades and Persephone) as well as another with a history of retrieving souls of the deceased from the underworld (Dionysus) so in the event someone in the family _does_ ho to Hell as a result of contracts, I feel like those 3 stand a decent chance of getting them out. So between the lawyer mom, the Fae, and the Hellenic gods, I'd say Zad has likely picked a fight they can't win

@whilenya4714 She was accidentally killed by Perseus after he went drinking with Dionysus and company, and the Medusa head fell out of the bag he was carrying it in. Luckily for him, Dionysus is a pretty chill god, and understood it was an accident, so he didn't retaliate and instead just went to the underworld to ask Hades to let him have her back. Hades agreed, and to avoid any further mishaps Dionysus turned her into a god, then married her (they were still only dating at the time of the Medusa incident) Edit: The poor woman did have demigod related trauma though, since her ex-boyfriend Thesius abandoned her on an island to die after he got bored with her. (Even though he only survived the Minotaur maze because _she_ helped him.) Dionysus and company happened to have a party there and ran into her, so she joined them. Ariadne (Dionysus's wife) was still terrified of possibly being abandoned again, because in another myth after they'd been married a while Dionysus went to India without her (he traveled around the mortal a lot) and she became terrified that he might've gotten bored with her and found a replacement. By the time Dionysus came home, she was a hysterical crying mess, and immediately started begging him not to leave her the way Thesius did, even if he did find someone else. This threw him for a loop since he hadn't quite realized how deep a scar Thesius's betrayal had left on her, and hadn't realized going on a trip without her would upset her so much. So he comforted her, and promised her that he'd never abandon her or find someone else, and to show how serious he was, he took this little crown thing she wore at their wedding and turned it into a constellation, and made sure to take her with him on long trips after that. Easily one of the most wholesome romantic stories in Greek mythology honestly, but everyone just remembers him as the wine guy...

I think one of the things I love the most is how accepting Dad is of the queer culture as he learns on the fly. Like when Sad came into the picture, no judgement about Evangeline having a girlfriend. Instantly intergrating Zad's they/them pronouns. It's really nice as a queer person to see a representation where it's just such a non-issue.
