The Eucharistic Prefaces from the Novus Ordo are the best! Also, the Pope was right about Latin Mass communities, of course not everyone in there, but it was the cradle for many dissentors. I have many friends which I love and I know they look down on the Novus Ordo, which is Heaven on Earth. I used to be like that, so I am not condemning, I am just saying that The Extraordinary Form could have existed forever, if the brothers and sisters of The Extraordinary Form wouldn't have that spirit of pride and superiority. On another note, maybe God willed Pope Francis Papal ministry to be so "confusing", because people start showing their true colors. Actually, Pope's Francis magisterium is not problematic at all... It is obvious and simple, which is not what this world is these days... At the end of the day, what I can see from my "perfect" brethren that critizise Pope Francis, that The Gospel is in our faces. It is been manifested right in front of us. A bunch of pharisees who reap their garnents for everything that The Pope does, make up lies and half truths, because they want to crucify him in the calvary of public opinion. While The Pope is trying to take his message of love and forgiveness to people that need it the most.

His written Word gives us the history of what God thinks about those who don't trust His arrangement, and who disrespect those He uses to lead. Your conversation about the gifts, particularly how they bake the bread for the Byzantine Rite reminds me of when I went on a retreat before my confirmation. One of the activities I got to do was help make the bread for Mass. The retreat was up in the mountains so we didn’t have the mass-produced hosts and that's why we got to make the bread for Mass. It was such a privilege (besides being super fun and relaxing because kneading dough just is).
