About Minecraft, it's definitely popular still. The problem is, the updates made the older fanbase shy away from it, and get bored. The ideas they're adding are actually inventive and cool, which is not something the older fanbase is used to. Maybe that's what they don't like, change? Well, that, and the game is populated with 10 year olds.

OmegaEnterprises I know that Microsoft doesn't make that much money off of hardware they produce, hell, much of their revenue comes from Windows and Office, so if Microsoft decides to sell off the XBox brand, that wouldn't be a bad thing. And while they have a few IPs at the moment, if it weren't for Halo, the XBox brand would be dead. Is This Sparta? At least Mojang doesn't (or didn't) rehash/remake their older games constantly, and while Nintendo is guilty of this remake craze, at least the games they remake are very hard to find for a cheap price, Last of Us remastered is based on a game that's barely a year old, while the remaster of Wind Waker is based on a game that is about 10 years old. The same can be said of OoT 3D, and more recently, Majora's Mask 3D.

Well they were very smart with selling Minecraft to Microsoft they ran out of ideas and Microsoft has added so much to Minecraft like the gliders allowing for cool new adventure maps and the new combat system and the best thing with Minecraft is that you can go back the different versions of the game to play the version you liked the most

Not true, I, and quite a few people I know, aren't brilliant at minecraft, but have a great time playing together. We go on it most days, enjoy ourselves, but never really do anything in the game. And really, isn't that what games are supposed to be about? Fun, over direct competitions. If your "fun" is through competition, there are games for that, and minecraft happens to allow for that too. I just want to go mining, build a vaguely decent looking house, and install a mod that adds more dragons or something. This is the category that I genuinely believe most people fit into these days, not just in minecraft, but casual gaming itself.

Mojang technically still makes Minecraft, just without notch and under Microsofts management, emplyees have actually expressed frustration with this as they feel like Notch got out but they didn't, and Notch is actually still making games, he's not retired, he just makes free games now because he's rich enough to not have to make money.

Rovio has had their run, and it was a very good run. They had their fun, their popularity, and their success but it's time to let the birds rest. I do agree that they made too many titles, but I don't agree that they were selfish.. I just think they got too ahead of themselves. Wait... Oh my god.. I typed in selfish...
