If My Garden Was a PERFUME?!?

Hi there you Lovely Ladies and Handsome Gents! I've been wondering, WHAT IF my garden was a perfume? I tried looking up the notes of everything currently blooming in my garden and while I could not find any that had all the specific flowers in my garden, I did find a few that have some of the notes. Come out with me to the Yard-en LOL and help me pick flowers for this video which is about two things I love so much, FLOWERS and PERFUME!

Hi Bo!! I have been so busy the past few weeks (whew, it’s been a doozy). I absolutely love this video, I adored learning about all the beautiful flowers and seeing your yard (you know florals are my favorite 😉). I’d have to say Iris, violet, lilac, rose, heliotrope, cherry blossom and gardenia are just some my absolute favorite florals (both in scent and appearance). In fact, I love anything floral so much so that The Secret Garden (the 1993 version) is one of my favorite movies of all time. You are just a genuine breath of fresh air as always my friend. What a great idea!💡🤗😋 I love joining you outside and seeing all of your beautiful flowers and plants🥰🥰🥰🥰 we had some wild blackberries growing at our old farm and they were so delicious🤓🤓 did you know there are some people out there that truly think that you can’t eat fruit from trees and bushes🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 they were taught that an apple or a blackberry from an actual tree or bush was somehow inedible 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 I don’t know where that rumor started🤣🤣🤣 That squirrel chirping in the background is so funny🤣🤣🤣 😮😮😮 your lilac bush is huge😮😮😮I LOVE mint🤗🤗🤗

Well, I lived on a small street with only private homes in a town in Ukraine. We had an apple and pear garden, also 1 sweet cherry, 1 plum trees and 2 walnut trees in the yard. We had a lot of land where we grew various vegetables and some berries. So, we ate all that ours year around, also we ate all kinds of berries that grew wild near by. I remember we went into the woods and there ate sweet black cherries and blueberries. I ate a lot of fruits, much more than it's recommended....😊

Hi Jamie!!! Thank you so much for your awesome comment!! I never really knew it was okay to eat the fruit that grows outside either until I started eating the stuff that grows in my yard here! Actually I grew up in apartments in California. I LOVE Cali but I never experienced much greenspace there. When I was a teenager there really were seniors that said "I remember orange trees here as far as the eye could see". I really love the greenery and the great stuff here. I have made cobbler and applesauce from my own apple trees and that's a real dream come true for me to get to enjoy the nature the way I do now. Thanks again!

Thank you!!! You know I saw Road to Avonlea on TV while working in Japan in the 90's and immediately fell in love. I was mesmerized by the beauty and greenery. I'm from California (which I love, but I had never seen that much greenery in my life).Like I saw on that TV show. I was like, I know that's not Los Angeles, so where was this made? I did not find out until I met my husband and moved to Canada that the series was set in PEI, but it was filmed in the Oshawa area of Ontario, not far from our last house! So yes, I'm thankful for the greenery we have here in Canada!! Thanks for all your great comments Frances!!

My favourite flower scent is the lilac. Our neighbour who is right beside us has a big bush of lilacs. I get to enjoy the scent over into my yard. Plus, I have an Yves Rocher Perfume that smells exactly like lilacs to me. I think it’s discontinued, but I’m glad I still have a bottle.

Hi EDK!! That's amazing!! I did not plant these lilacs, a sweet old lady who used to live here did! She planted other great stuff too like Rhubarb!! The gifts that keep on giving! I love lilacs too. The first time I smelled them was in Los Angeles at a flower shop I was working in in the 90's. They were a special thing that came in and they sold for $8.75 for a single stem/branch. I was transported by that smell and something inside me shifted. In So Calif I never had seen lilacs before! I am curious about that Yves Rocher Lilac!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I live in NB and now it's the season of lupine and it makes me happy. I love lupines, I smelled each colour of these flowers and some of them have a pleasant spicy scent. I love flowers, but no gardener. If I was rich I would plant many colourful gorgeous bearded irises - they are my favourite flowers. And I understand the French with their love for fleur de lis. In fact, I love all kinds of lilies, but bearded irises are like a royalty among them.
