I've attached my and DougDoug's hearts to the game of Elden Ring. If our heart rates get too high, a meteor will destroy the world -- and every time we die, we give an increasing amount of money to our viewers. Can we beat the first boss of Elden Ring before going broke?

if i remember right, doug has sleep problems and he's almost always tired, might be remembering it wrong, i think he made a video talking about his health, he might also just be super fit and calm.

Also, unlike PointCrow, Doug's spent a lot more time in the real world (he graduated collage from Berkley, not an easy feat, and got a job in CS for some years) so I have to imagine he's had much more exercise and fitness in his life than PointCrow, which generally leads to a lower resting heartrate. Edit: Everything I said is out of conjecture, not fact. You don't need to reply saying I'm wrong. No one has sufficient information to strongly argue one way or the other. So multiple people have responded telling me about PointCrow's home gym. I was not aware of this fact. I don't know how long PointCrow's been working out, but if he does cardio regularly, it will still take a few years to bring his resting heart rate down. *However, I am willing to admit that I should've done some research for my conjecture.* Berkley is likely to reduce Doug's resting heartrate because the campus is absolutely massive. *DougDoug is older. This is the biggest factor.* Outliers exist. Don't tell me if you work out and have a very high resting heart rate or something. I'm talking out of a statistics standpoint, not an individual or medical standpoint. Some people have told me that DougDoug has sleep problems. This will increase his heartrate by 5-10 bmp. However, it appears that despite this fact, PointCrow has a higher heart rate. *EACH PERSON HAS A DIFFERENT HEART RATE ACCORDING TO GENETICS! GENETICS IS THE BIGGEST FACTOR HERE! I JUST WANTED TO POINT OUT OTHER FACTORS THAT ADDS ONTO THE GENETIC FACTOR!*

As someone with a heart condition, another trick is to not think too much about your heart and focus on just breathing. Worrying about your heart rate raises anxiety, which causes your heart rate to go up. It’s weird how worrying about your heart causes more problems than ignoring it sometimes

The money given away doesnt follow that particular sequence exactly, thats true. It isn't the pure quadratic x^2. But it still is a quadratic, just with some other constants and terms (quadratic can be any sequence/function in form a*x^2 + b*x + c where a is not equal to 0 and a,b,c are just some known coefficients). If you're looking for an exact formula for the quadratic that tells us how much money one of them gave away, it is (5/2)*n^2 + (5/2)*n where n is the amount of deaths (if we assume they give 5, 10, 15, 20... etc each death). You can derive that from an arithmetic sequence or you can check it yourself that it works for number of deaths (n) = 1, 2, 3, 4 ...

It’s average/just above average. And it has little to do with genes. It’s more about athleticism and a correct diet. Athletic bpm for a 26 male is 49-55… average is 71-74.

​@@VincentCat3435 Hi, med student here, normal resting heart rate is defined as between 60-100. Although a resting heart rate of above 90 is cause for worry since it is borderline on tachycardia. It could be just anxiety however. If you have any other symptoms besides high heart rate, I would advise getting some tests

I went to the doctor for some breathing issues, and that’s when they told me that my heart rate was abnormally high for someone my age. Waiting for the results now, so no need to worry about that!

I hate to be that guy but an increase in $5 for every death is linear growth, not exponential. For that kind of growth one needs to say double the amount every time, so the increase is multiplicative: 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160 , 320, etc. this series blows up *MUCH* quicker.
