I DMed a pokemon tabletop game many years ago, and the system allowed the players to fight as well. At one point, the group was exploring a haunted house, and an oddish surprised them since they thought it was a normal potted plant. One of the characters grabbed a nearby mop, and rolled a natural 20 on attack. Little did he know, the oddish was already at a low health, so instead of just fainting, the damage was enough to kill it - though I described it as him swinging so hard, the mop strands literally sliced the oddish into many pieces. 😅
